Maybe the location What I did not appreciate was that, before our trip to Niagara Falls, we received an email informing us that they could no longer accommodate us due to the need to house residents affected by a fire. While I completely understand and respect that situation, what I cannot understand is why we were not informed that we would be required to pay again at the hotel they transferred us to. I was under the impression that DoubleTree would be responsible for covering those arrangements. I called the other hotel and they said, i need to pay them and call double tree which i did, and they said i'm not supposed to pay and we're good. Unfortunately, I was still charged, which was both unexpected and disappointing.

The food at the restaurant was just ok. Needs more flavor and choices for the price. The staff was exceptional.

cooling was good despite being on 17 floor - poor view of falls. VERY Expensive....fan in bathroom was noisy as hell. quite bizarre!!!! Paying over $600 per night for this kind of room is insane. More expensive then an excellent room at Fairmont Royal York.
