Hôtel Locarno Nice

it was an okay stay overall. with the price we paid I expected more cleanness and comfort however don't expect much. the location is very good, very close to a nice beach. some of the staff were rude though some are very polite. there was a very weird smell in the room and it lasted through our stay. the rooms were very small also. not sure if we would pick this one again if we were to be back. smell in the room and the bathroom was not very clean. amenities were very old also. I don't think it should he the quality you Get given how expensive is the hotel compared to other nearby hotels.

The location was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful, We did not do the breakfast but did enjoy the free coffee and water station and the general lobby lounge area was very nice and comfortable for the family. We also appreciated one of our rooms was ready early! Its a very easy short walk to the beach! Also appreciate the free umbrella and beach chairs and floaties available to use. The sunscreen was also a nice added bonus. Our room was not as fresh and clean as we would have liked, it had a lingering musty smell and even though our room was suppose to be non-smoking there was a lingering stale smokers smell. The bathroom was also a bit tight and the ventilation wasn't great. Also when ever we got our beach towels they also smelled very musty and stale ;-( they needed to be cleaner or fresher. We had 2 rooms, 4 total people two in each room so one room was nicer than the other room but I think it was because that room was a little bigger and had two windows so there was better ventilation, but both rooms were the same cost.

Ein normales kleines Zimmer ist selbst für zwei Erwachsene viel zu klein, geschweige denn mit einem Baby. Man kann sich kaum um das Bett herum bewegen. Es gibt zwar einen Kühlschrank, aber der kühlt überhaupt nicht. Die Klimaanlage ist natürlich täglich nötig, aber sie bläst einem direkt in den Kopf. Für Familien mit Kinderwagen ist der Zugang zum Hotel unmöglich. Man muss den Kinderwagen die Treppe rauf und runter tragen. Der Aufzug ist winzig und bietet nicht einmal Platz für zwei Personen. Der einzige Vorteil ist die Strandnähe.

Friendly and helpful staff, good cleaning, good breakfast, very good location near the beach and walking distance to the old town, unless you are unlucky and be there with 35 degrees heat wave like us... Very small rooms, extremely strong and heavy room doors the kids were not able to open them or even hold them open

Strong AC, helpful staff, large common area. It is a great place to stay, especially if you want to spend time on the beach. The hotel offers free umbrella and beach towel rentals and the walk is less than 5 minutes! The hotel is also close to the tram stop for easy travel in the city. The rooms have seen better days and the aircon leaks in the hallway.

In reality, it's about 1 1/2 blocks to beach, which is still really good. Not a big fan of carpets in rooms. Water pressure in shower was bad.

2 minutes from the beach. 15-20 minute walk to the city centre where all restaurants and nightlife is. Easy walk. Room was comfortable and quiet (302). Towels, umbrellas, and beach umbrellas for daily loan was nice. free coffee in the morning was nice. We didn't have the included breakfast. These things were expected and OK for us but some travelers and the hotel may find this useful. As in most European destinations we've traveled to, the room is very small. No bureau, just a small closet with a few hangars. We lived out of our suitcases. No bathroom counter space to speak of. A little room on the sink and on the toilet tank. The bathroom is quite big so adding some small shelves would help. There is no bar. Was not expecting one but would be nice. The beach is small flat, smooth rocks. Not the most comfortable to walk on but the beach itself is awesome.

The window in the room was broken. Some towels had holes in it. Pillows were really uncomfortable

This was our second stay at this hotel. This time they helped us arrange parking for our car, which was very helpful! There are loads of shops and restaurants in the area and it's nice walk to the old city of Nice. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This time we got a very small room. The bed took up all the space and we didn't have anywhere to put our suitcases. Neither the door to the room or the bathroom door cold be opened without hitting the bed. I will have to pay better attention to the size of the room when I book next time.

I like how they clean everyday and the location of the hotel is near every where. I also love how helpful and nice the staffs are. I love the heated thing where we can hang up our towels. I also love their coffee machine and their fresh squeezed juice machine. I didnt like how small the room is as well as the bathroom. It was hard to move around. The elevator is also small... it won't work for claustrophobic people. I also didnt like the fact that there's are small bugs in the room... well there's a balcony that leads you to a small rooftop vibe terrace. That was pretty neat.

Freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. Room felt warn down, bathroom door handle was almost falling off.

Nice location, walking distance to the promenade. Close to tram station and many restaurants nearby. Rooms are smaller and a bit expensive for the price.
