Thanh Dat Homestay

Excellent location, just a stone's throw from the centre but really quiet. The room is great and breakfast was served on my private terrace. Breakfast included a good range of options for vegans. The family is really friendly and helpful with travel bookings and bike hire. Sustainable toiletries. The pool is nestled in a really pretty garden and has sunny and shady options. The room is serviced every day which is unusual in Vietnam at this price point. This was my fourth stay at Thanh Dat and I can't wait to return.

What an amazing stay just steps from Tam Coc River. The hosts are super nice and are there for anything that you need. We arrived at 3am and they allowed us to check into a spare bedroom in there house for 10 bucks and sleep until our room was ready. The free breakfast is to die for also. The room was large and had everyting that you needed included air con. The location is about a 3 min walk from the entrance to the Tam Coc boat tour and about 5 minutes from the main strip in Ninh Binh with many restaurants, bars, and shops. The homestay also rents motorbike for a very fair price. This place is great and I will stay here anytime I am in Ninh Binh!!

Location, environment, breakfast, service, and the family were all great!!! If you don’t know where to stay in Ninh Binh I didn’t either — but I am so lucky I stayed here. Tam Coc is definitely the area to stay in, close to the things u probably wanna see and go to besides Trang A boat tour. I am solo traveling and the family was so sweet to me I felt really safe with them. I got in late around 3AM from the Ha Giang bus and they had the room ready for me to walk straight into and sleep lol. Their son is also a grab driver so he can take u anywhere if needed. They kept my stuff until my next overnight bus and I could go back to use the bathroom. You can rent bikes and scooters from them too. I didn’t get in but the pool looked beautiful. This was the best place I’ve stayed in Vietnam!

We booked a vip bus to phong nha with the homestay and payed a good amount for it. The bus put us in the very back of the bus next to the stinky toilet and the worst quality beds, was not really worth the price for that. Although not really home stays fault but still mentioning it

At this price, everything was perfect. The facilities include the pool, fridge, kettle, fan and hair dryer. You can rent very good quality bicycles for less than $2 USD per day. The breakfast is great, with vegan options. The room is a good size, with garden/pool view and lovely local art on the walls. Wonderful location, just a stone's throw from the centre, but very quiet. One of the best things about Thanh Dat is the owners, who are so kind, helpful and friendly. They gave me loganberries from their lovely poolside garden, and arranged very reasonably priced transport to the train station. This is the third time I've stayed here. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. There's no free drinking water.

Setup of the homestay. The swimming pool is super and in the evening with lights. Breakfast is great. Owners are always available and super friendly.

It was the best acommodation I stayed in Vietnam! Big room with everything clean, good bathroom. There was a great breakfast with many options and taste food. Also the draft beer by the pool is great. The staff is so friendly in our welcoming, and always helped in anything we need. Also rented a Bycicle at a great price to explore Tam Coc

My room was large and comfortable, with a/c and a fan. Wi-Fi was good. Breakfast is included, which was very good and there is also a pool. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

Location very good, quiet at night, friendly staff, bike rentals for the day very cheap, nice to jump in a pool after a long hot bike ride. Breakfast options poor, staff found asleep, the pool not cleaned frequently

The owners are fantastic and the localisation perfect. The breakfast very nice but I wish more eggs instead of bread and the time to take it is very short, 7 to 9. The children of other guests are quite loud, but obviously it is not the fault of the owners but of the parents who do not know how to educate their children. So if you intend to stay there you have to take it into account.

Great location, lovely staff, pool was perfect to ward off the afternoon heat, bed was comfy and breakfast was very good. They also helped us book our bus to Hanoi which worked great and we rented a bike from them for the day which was also easy and fun.
