Location good. Parking ideal. Very comfortable stay. We stayed on a Monday, the kitchen was closed and no breakfast available. Would have been happy with reduced hours for the restaurant and would have like to have breakfast. We were able to find another property in the area offering food at night and breakfast. It's a shame as all other areas of service were good.

The staff are very friendly. The room itself is spacious and the bed is comfortable. It’s extremely convenient for the train station, being across the road, but surprisingly the trains weren’t that loud so didn’t affect our sleep. The rooms face onto a car park, so wasn’t comfortable leaving the window open overnight. Perhaps there’s a way to leave the window open a gap but still be secure? And to not allow smoking directly outside the rooms as it was drifting into our room.

My Husband grew up in the area, but moved to Australia when he was fourteen, with his family. We enjoyed having the freedom to catch up with relatives, without making them feel overwelmed. We enjoyed a relaxed, fteindly environment fo a few dinners but did not have breakfast at this accomadation. Maybe, being open in the morning for breakfast

Well situated near the railway station and the place we were visiting. The pub was nice. Very dated rooms, in need of an upgrade in many areas. Bathroom sink Formica was peeling off and there were disabled rails absolutely everywhere, which made us feel like we’d been put in the wrong room. The checkout time is 11am, so we enquired when breakfast was served, and were told that it didn’t start until 12pm alongside lunch (1 hour following checkout!!). Eventually on check out, the pub was locked at 11am and there was no one to hand the key to, so we had to search for a member of staff, eventually finding the chef who took the key from us. Almost £100 for a 1 night stay was very overpriced in our opinion, and highly unlikely we will be returning. Owning our own holiday home, we don’t usually leave negative reviews, but in this instance felt we needed to point out the poor experience we had.

Room was sizeable and comfortable. Room was getting a bit scruffy in places, particularly the bathroom. No breakfast available. No great value.

A quiet; comfortable room in a great location. The pub was closed in the morning so I had to wander around to find someone to hand the room key to.

A good find. Dog friendly, we had a really big room. Ate in the restaurant, good food and excellent service. Will stay again.

The room was clean, comfortable and all that we needed. It's opposite Hartford Station which is very convenient. The Hosts, clearly, had never been on a customer service course our hospitality seminar they didn't have a smile or cheerful word between them and made no effort to make us feel welcome. I was a little surprised that, during our 3 day stay, there was no room cleaning of any sort. There was also no soap in the shower dispenser.

The location and parking It was a little bit dated especially the bathroom. And I felt the room door could be a bit more secure.
