Hotel Mio Riviera Nayarit - Adults Only

I recently had the pleasure of spending a few days here to attend an appointment at the immigration office. Very centrally located, very friendly staff. Beautiful grounds and garden. My room was wonderful, very comfortable with a big bed, great quiet air con, and a nice view of the pool. The rooftop are where the restaurant, bar, gym and several pools is very nice. The hotel is walking distance to the mall, immigration office, and to the beach. Be aware that it is difficult to find paths to get to and out of the beach, it's almost all private resorts and condos. Special thanks to Heidy and Victor that provided excellent service. There is a big beautiful pool at the ground level, which unfortunately is not accessible to hotel guests. There is refrigerator in the room, but it is empty. No refreshments. For the price, breakfast should be included.

My husband and I were delighted by the service we received and the professional attention of the staff. They treated us like VIPs even though we were only on a short stay there for a friend's wedding. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and well worth it - there are few other restaurants in the area, as it is a strip of hotels. The staff at breakfast was delightful to talk to each morning.

The only bad thing was miscommunication they said pool closes at 20:00 so we have to run from the beach, and arriving we see that it says they close at 22:00 ?. Also that there's no air conditioning on halls and in elevators.

The fact that this is an adults only facility makes it easy to relax and enjoy the hotel. The rooftop pool and bar area is very relaxing and the service was very good.

This was a very well put together facility and was especially a good location for our Grand Fondo race. Sorry to say I wasn’t a big fan of the no children policy I understand the part of no children staying the night but they should be allowed to visit during the day in the rooms when friends stop by.

The hotel and the room are super nice. But you need to go with the idea of stay there and not to move you, because the uber to downtown could cost 48 usd per way. Most of people in hotel was older adults. Music was not for young people. But the service was first quality. No convenient store near there. No convenient store near there. You need uber services to go anywhere and uber´s prices are high. All this is not property fault but you need to know it.

All was great.

Clean modern and comfortable No access to beach to beach chairs and palapas even though you can walk through the Friendly Vallarta you can’t sit on their chairs or use their facilities.

The staff were amazing. The property is absolutely beautiful. The breakfast had everything you could ask for and more the pool was relaxing and the perfect temperature and the hotel was in a great location.

This hotel was great and the staff so friendly! My friend ended up hurting her ankle on this trip and couldn't walk. The front desk provided us with a wheelchair (I believe Victor) and were so helpful. The rooftop was gorgeous with the pool and lounge chairs along with a gym and restaurant as well. The restaurant was a little pricey on drinks and the drinks were alright. (I'm from NYC and the drink prices were very similar).

Location and cleanliness. Coffe machine in the room would be nice instead of getting dressed to go to the lobby to get some!

Great Value. The rooftop pool and lounging area was very nice. Lots of options for seating, working, playing games, or just enjoying the sun and relaxing. It was a highlight, but our room was clean and comfortable. Really nothing. If I was to critique anything, it would be that the hotel wasn't full, yet they put us in a room overlooking a construction site. It would have been nice to be put in a room that had a nicer view, although it really didn't matter as we spent all of our free time up at the rooftop pool.

It is modern, rooms are spacious, AC works well , lots of electrical outlets, bed mattress is firm foam. Rooftop area is modern, all staff were friendly. Fridge (small) for your meds and a few small bottles of water or alcohol, juice, etc. , or some fruit, yogurt, etc. which you can buy nearby and all are inexpensive. They have Canadian networks on room TV’s—CBC, CTV, Global—which is great. They put the CBC coverage of the Olympics on the TV in the rooftop restaurant—a nice touch. This hotel is good value— pricing is much below the beach hotels, it is not on the beach, you access the beach via a public access which is about a 12 minute walk. 1. They give you 2 bottles of water and ask you to refill them from a hallway machine, but the water comes out warm and smelly. That’s really bad and cheap. We heard that the Mio in the hotel zone gives you fresh bottles of water every day—why the inconsistency? So you go buy it at the grocery store and put in the fridge. 2. Coffee machine is in lobby for morning but we found it was undrinkable (an opinion not shared by all). 3. Breakfast on rooftop is very good, not excellent, but way over-priced in my opinion. Go to any restaurant or coffee shop nearby and save at least 50%. 4. There is no music in the evening on rooftop although advertised. They have a 2 hour happy hour, but no snacks and you can’t even buy snacks, yet they insist you not bring snacks—chips, etc.— to the rooftop. 5. There is no shower on the rooftop and you really need to shower to get the chemicals and/or salts off you after swimming. 6. The pool is narrow and long. It’s pretty but once there are a few people standing around in it, forget about swimming in it. On the ground there is a huge pool, it’s for the owners/residences who are on floors 1-3. But you can “sneak in”, I suggest you try.

Wonderful breakfast Exceptional staff. We went through the difficult day of the crisis in Puerto Vallarta. Total all this people had to stay inside and the kitchen had to work very hard to meet the expectations of all the guests for lunch and dinner. They were running working so hard. I pray, especially the manager of the kitchen Francisco.Also Andres, Hugo,and all the front desk victor and Karla I would have liked to find the public beach. I asked but I could t find it Problems with the insufficient warm water in the shower.
