Safaya Luxury Villas (Adults Only)

The property is well located, with a super innovative concept that we liked very much. In fact you feel like home with a breathtaking view from your bed, the private swimming pool and the sea. It was really amazing. A big thanks to all the staff, they were very welcoming and helpful. A special thanks to Mr. Kamal Al Ghonaimi, the general manager, who is available 24/7 and ready to help and support for any of your requests. Bravo. I suppose that such beautiful and comfortable hotel should have a bat, for those who would like to chill and tan while having some drinks.

Nice beach front and private pool with spacious clean rooms The way to the hotel is so bumpy, the property doesn’t serve any alcoholic drinks so we had to go to the next beach restaurant that’s where we spent most of our time at the beach was abit disappointing especially being on vacation

Unfortunately, our experience was significantly affected by one major issue: the beach. The lack of privacy on the beach was extremely disappointing and completely changed our experience of the resort. Throughout our stay, there were large numbers of local beach vendors and boat operators constantly approaching us. This was not an occasional interaction with one or two people—it was continuous. At times there seemed to be 20 or more individuals waiting along the beach, and every time we walked near the shoreline we were approached, often repeatedly, even after politely declining. What should have been peaceful walks along the beach with my husband became frustrating and stressful. We could not relax, enjoy the scenery, or have a private moment without being interrupted. In fact, we ended up avoiding the beach almost entirely because of how uncomfortable the experience became. What made this even more disappointing is that there was security present, yet no action was taken to discourage the constant harassment of guests. While I understand that the beach is public and the hotel cannot control everything, I do believe that a luxury resort charging premium prices should do much more to protect its guests' comfort and provide a more peaceful environment. For us, the beach was one of the main reasons for choosing Zanzibar, and it ended up being the biggest disappointment of the trip. Given the price of the resort, we simply do not feel that the experience offered good value for money.

The property and the rooms were beautiful! You could tell a lot of thought was put into the design. The meals were good. We really enjoyed having the private pool right outside our room. We felt comfortable the entire stay.

The hotel is very well located on Nungwi beach. There are only about 10 villas therefore not a lot of guests. It felt very private, and we did not really meet other guests, except during breakfast and dinner. We stayed in a garden villa which was very private. The room is spacious and clean, and we loved our private pool on our backyard. The beach is just a few steps away and there are great restaurants in walking distance. Keep in mind the tide of the ocean - there were days when the ocean basically disappeared during the day but early morning and later afternoon / evening it is possible to enjoy the crystal-clear water. There are sunbeds on the beach reserved for the guests and there is a security guard on the beach full time. The food was great, great variety. Everything was amazing.

Everything was absolutely AMAZING !! We enjoyed our stay from the beginning. The hotel staff is wonderful and go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. What a great place. And the room is so beautiful... we didn't want to leave. The food is varied and tasty, lots of different options every day. We will recommend it to all of our friends ! Not applicable. Everything was PERFECT !

Employees were nice. It was very clean. The toiletries were nice. They provided a free laundry service on our arrival, that was great. The lunch delivered to our room on arrival, was the best meal we had on the island. We scheduled two in-room massages and the massages were great! I appreciated how security did not allow anyone to hang out in front of our room on the beach. They were very strict on privacy, we enjoyed being able to hang out on the patio and the pool in peace. There was a beach dinner as well with buffet meals, that was private and for the resort guests only. The buffet food was great as well as the live band. They had bikes that we borrowed (for free) and rode around the area. They have kayaks and beach supplies (free) for guests to use as well. Unfortunately we had a delay in our flight so we missed a night of our booking, they were fully booked so we weren’t able to extend but it our stay was well worth the money. As someone who can always find something to complain about, I had zero complaints lol.

Exceptional stay, absolutely yummy food

Excellent privacy, very kind and attentive staff, beachfront location, modern and unique design, private pool, tasty food, and a safe environment. Occasional and irregular water outages in the bathroom. Beach & Location: The beach itself is not fully under the hotel’s control. It’s important to note that this part of Nungwi Beach is more affected by tides, and the sea disappears for about three hours each day. The hotel is located next to a fish market, so there are boats and local fishermen activities nearby, which adds a local atmosphere.

We are very thankful to Safaya Luxury Villa for their support. Due to the government lockdown in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, we were stuck with no transport and no internet. We had a booking from 2–3 Nov, and as tourists we could not reach the resort. Unfortunately, Booking.com did not help us and refused to refund our money. They have no proper customer care support. But Safaya Luxury Villa was very kind and understanding — they helped us and allowed us to stay the next day. Highly appreciate their hospitality. everything but i wil never use booking.com

The restaurant food didn’t meet my expectations The villa pool is cleaned only once in the early morning and not again during the day. You can’t clean it yourself, so after a while the water becomes dirty and stays that way all day, such a pity

The room is beautiful and clean, staff were wonderful and food was great ? During our stay there was movie night on the beach and dinner with music show. Ask what are the plans to schedule your other activities :) We enjoyed our stay very much. The pool was not clean enough most of the time and the beach area have a lot of weeds so going in the ocean is not as fun. The mnemba snorkeling booked through the reception (external vendor) was not so good...
