Spacious room for our family. We loved being served breakfast on our balcony each morning. Nice beach.

Family holiday, great location on beach and walk to mini supermarket, restaurants, etc

The staff was absolutely wonderful. Fatima and agnas was wonderful. Everyone was eager to help. Loved having dinner at the beach restaurant. The property is well taken care of. The mattress felt like there was no mattress. It was very hard. The shower needs more water pressure. The cocktails needs improvement. None of the cocktails i got were good.

WI Fi needs an upgrade

Such a nice place to stay in a spectacular location. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Everything is very well looked after. Excellent breakfast and a great bar.

The location was fantastic, straight onto white sand and clear blue sea beaches! The staff were extremely attentive and polite. We enjoyed the private beach area by the hotel bar as you could relax there without being bothered by vendors on the beach. The view was gorgeous. Our little cottage was always clean and comfortable. We enjoyed waking up in paradise each morning. Would love to return to flame tree cottages. You can also snorkel from the beach outside the hotel if you bring your own snorkel gear. We saw lots of starfish here ? Nothing!

Beautiful property, ocean views and great lounge area. Amazing staff, they were so friendly and really made our stay special. Shout out to Agness, who was so incredibly sweet!!! Very walkable to basically everything in Nungwi.

Gorgeous luxury stay with plenty of attention to details, spacious rooms, private terrace, beautiful garden and right at the beach

Hotel is in a good location, if access to Nungwi is of interest. In our view, there are better places on the island to stay than Nungwi. Pool was nice, with a shallow section for kids. Some of the staff, particularly Mohammed and Agness, were great. Mohammed especially tried to make the best of the numerous issues that came up. It's clear the owners can't be bothered to give him much to work with. ** UPDATE: I wrote a review. It was not positive. The owner said she'd consider refunding me if I took it down. I did. And she gave us nothing. So here it is again ** We've traveled for 30+ years and been to 50+ countries and had never checked out of a place early... until we stayed at Flame Tree. If this were a $50 a night hotel, we would have dealt with anything. But paying nearly 8x that?! The owner might consider coming from Europe to TZ to see what customers get for the thousands she earns daily. We eventually switched to another place that was much cheaper and wildly better -- we will remember there and not Flame Tree, but we wanted to warn others to help people avoid getting ripped off. - We booked a 5 day stay. We would've left after 1 night, but stayed for 3 as our kids got sick. We left 2 days early and were told by the manager, after he consulted the owner, that giving refunds were 'not our policy'. The product was poor. The customer was miserable. And nothing can be done? - The photos in the listing are not a true representation of how rundown Flame Tree rally is. It needs a major overhaul. Mold is everywhere. Our bathroom light flickered like in a horror movie. The showerhead sprayed all over the place. There were exposed wires sticking out of the wall. The ceiling fans and water kettle were probably from the 1990s. - Breakfast on the patio was a nice idea until it arrived. Our eggs were some of the hardest of our lives... and they were scrambled. We asked for bread and it smelled like mold. We stopped ordering breakfast for ourselves and just got daily pancakes for the kids. - The listing said free toiletries and we basically got nothing. We asked for shampoo and conditioner and got a handful of lotion. - Wifi was awful. Simple pages didn't load. At nearby locations, Wifi worked fine. It's not TZ. It's Flame Tree. ** Spare yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else. There are much better options on the island.

The location perfect and pool The beds

At a wonderful location, beach side, restaurant, breakfast is served at the bungalow, room is spacious and nice, just 50 meter and direct access to the beach. Great staff, very helpful and gave us good advice on excursions. Staff checked regularly if all was good. Easy to walk to restaurants on the beach. Bathroom is a outdated, could use an update.

Excellent location, kind staff, and nice facilities. The restaurant was OK. The food was not very good, which was disappointing because we paid to have meals included in the stay. We ended up eating elsewhere, which felt like a waste of money.

Stayed here for 4 days with my boyfriend. This place is absolutely amazing. The property is beach front, the beach is beautiful with white sand and cristal clear water. At high tides you can jump right in. It’s also situated in a lively area with lots of cafes and restaurants around. The property is very large, it comes with a beautiful, well maintained garden with lots of palm trees, bushes and flowers. It is the only hotel with such a nice large garden. We had the king room with ocean and garden view. It’s a large room, comfortable bed and very clean. Room service is also spot on. We really enjoyed the breakfast serviced on the terrace in front of the room. Breakfast has a nice choice and really keeps you going throughout the day. We also very much enjoyed the pool, it has a really good size for swimming. Everyone at the hotel was very kind and welcoming. Overall I can absolutely recommend this place for an unforgettable stay! -
