Great location, spacious room, nice shower, A/C, breakfast was good Bed was lumpy and bathroom door didn't close (warped)

I liked the hotel surroundings, our room, the hanger next to the door for wet clothes, restaurant "The Corner", Fiona one of the employees who was very responsive, polite and has an amazing smile. The place is very close to the beach, less than 2 mins walk and the overall atmosphere was aesthetic, smelled good and felt good. Nothing.

Excellent location. Literally steps away from the beach. The staff goes above and beyond to make you comfortable. Fiona is especially good. I did not have hot water on the first day. She made sure to promptly get it fixed.

This was my second time staying at Nungwi Getaway, and once again it was a great experience! The room was clean and comfortable, just a short walk from the beach. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was also very good. Lovely atmosphere and great value, I’d definitely stay here again. Nothing everything was great

Trevlig personal. Rent och fint rum. Close to shops, restaurants and beach No carpet on concrete floor. No TV. Constant power breaks (3-4 / day) which made wifi disappear and new codes were needed from reception.

We had such a lovely stay! The location is perfect, just a few steps from one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to. Fiona at reception was amazing - so friendly and helpful the entire time. Would definitely stay here again! -

Great AC!! Great location (close to the beach and walking distance to good restaurants). Staff was helpful (we had leak in the shower they allowed to use shower in other room as we were short on time and later to change room). No water provided with the room. Shower can be cleaned better. Internet a bit slow.

Close to the beach. When we came to check in at 18:00 in the evening the room was not ready because some other guest had gotten a late check out. The room should have been ready at 15:00, we still had to pay full price. They also took twice as much in tourist fees than the other hotels we’ve been to.

Exceptional

Clean, location good, mostly good. Wifi slow, no good, cannot watch movie at night, stay 1 week here bore at night, no movie or drama. Staff said cannot be fix, is like that.

Our time at Nungwi getaway was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing! Only wish they would have something you can check to choices your items because we stayed for 6 nights. However, it was delicious and even the restaurant had wonderful food! The location was the best with craft shops, restaurants and within a few minutes of walking. The rooms are minimalistic and clean, it was nothing fancy but what we needed to be at the beach everyday:) The location was also very peaceful and quiet. We traveled with another couple and their two year old and the staff was so accommodating and helpful. We will definitely come back! There was construction at the hotel during the day which is understandable because of expansion but it hindered afternoon rest. The showers went from scolding hot to cold and our did not work well on cold. I did not like that you pay taxes on booking.com, then you get taxes again at the hotel, and anytime you use your credit card for the restaurant.

The breakfast was great but lacks variety. I love the pizza for lunch and the catch of the day The localisation is perfect just 50 meters to the beautiful beach. Over all we had a beautiful experience and a nice stay. Lack of variety in the breakfast

The breakfast is great, you have the choice of 3 different types, its tasty and plenty of food. The staff is very friendly even though we had some disscussions about the payment at first, we could clear it all and everything was good. The boss is very friendly and we could even have the room a bit longer since we were the last guests. Its located right at the beach. There are no mosquito nets in the room, it wasnt really necessary since there are only a few mosquitos, but if you need the safety of a net you have to be aware of that. The bed was ok for me but rather hard. All in all the shower was the best one we had throughout our whole stay in Tanzania but it was almost impossible to close the tap without it still leaking water.

Good location 1min. from the beach. Staff helpful and kind. Restaurant "Corner" just located at the hotel and managed by the hotel. Room is basic but clean, good for what it needed.

Lovely little property, sympathetically and simply decorated it felt very welcoming and the staff are wonderful. It really feels like a family run business and the food in the restaurant downstairs - The Corner - was delicious, well worth a visit! The shower pressure was great, both hot and cold water and the a/c worked perfectly (very necessary given the temps whilst we were there) The location is great too, literally 2 mins from the beach and there’s an outdoor shower to wash the sand off before you head to your room. Terri who runs the Getaway is super helpful and accommodating, always around if you need something (not sure when she sleeps!) and her team seem to be just as dedicated - it really felt like home by the time we left. My only minor complaint would be the bed; the mattress creates a sort of ditch where you’ve been lying but you quickly get used to it and it’s really not a huge deal!

Great location, close to beach. Clean and tidy room. Aircon worked well. Many people walking past the room to get to the beach/restaurant, no privacy if curtains open alternative is to be in the dark room with curtains closed. No communal/ sitting area away from room.
