Each room faces a fairly busy street and has a small balcony. We were upgraded to a larger room. It was a pleasant, high-ceilinged room with a comfortable king bed, a couch, a wardrobe with a safe, a credenza with a coffee maker, two bedside tables, and a small table with two chairs. We were also able to store our milk in the hotel's refrigerator, and they brought it to us each morning for our coffee. The large bathroom is very blue but well arranged, with a large counter around the sink, a privacy wall next to the toilet, and a large enclosed shower with a shelf for keeping towels and other items dry. The shower had consistent hot water and good water pressure. The Wi-Fi generally worked well but was occasionally spotty and slow. There were enough outlets in the room, including two on each side of the bed and others behind the credenza. The continental breakfast, included in the room rate, is served on the upstairs terrace starting at 8 a.m. It includes coffee or tea, sweet rolls, and a fruit plate with yogurt, granola, and honey. Cooked breakfast items are available for an additional charge. We also had them do our laundry. They charged 50 pesos per kilo, and it was returned the same evening. There is someone at the front desk 24/7. Everyone was very nice and helpful and spoke at least some English, with a few staff members speaking quite good English. I found this hotel a delightful place to stay and highly recommend it. Wifi was spotty.

Great location and wonderful staff. The room are unique and the place has a homie vibe. Could have used more towels but I understand there is a water shortage.

The hotel is beautiful. My room was beautiful and spacious. The staff was amazingly wonderful. Everyone was warm and thoughtful. I felt genuinely welcome. I'd stay next time in the rooms overlooking Av. Morelos. The corner suite had a lack of privacy when the window shutters were open, and had noise from the streets in the late evenings. Although, it was a most beautiful and spacious suite!

The hotel is very well located right in the heart of Oaxaca, one block from the Zocalo. Within the property, it's very well maintained. The courtyard is surrounded by plants, art works, and beautiful architecture of the building itself. The room is a great size, air conditioning worked very well, and loved the ability to open the balcony doors. Be prepared, however, that the balcony doors open out to a busy street - but that's part of the charm of the location. Breakfast was delicious and we were treated very well by staff every morning. The ladies were wonderful! Staff was onsite at the front at all hours, so never an issue with getting support with any question. We had a rental car. With that, the hotel sets you up in a garage. It's easily walkable being diagonally across the same street. This is likely a personal item, but I really wish there would have been a mini fridge within the room. Unfortunately, there is not. The staff are kind enough to offer to put your items in their main kitchen refrigerator. However, this isn't so convenient when you want to grab a cold drink within your room without going downstairs to ask staff to retrieve it for you. There's plenty of space in the room. I'd suggest adding at least a small fridge for future guests.

A charming family run small hotel in the heart of Oaxaca Centro. Staff very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Shower head need to be replaced.

Good location with a down to earth local vibe.

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

Lovely small hotel decorated with lots of local art. Within walking distance of all the Oaxaca “must sees.” Great staff. The compromise of its convenient location is that it’s above a bustling street. Not a problem when it’s cool outside and you want the balcony door closed at night.

Excellent location in a historic building. Friendly and accommodating staff. Easy check-in and checkout. Nothing

The staff was super friendly and helpful.

The location was perfect and the room was cozy. We appreciated the fresh flowers in the room and the art around the hotel. What we loved the most was the incredibly kind, compassionate, and helpful staff! Everyone that we met was so lovely and we could not have had such a positive experience without them. Toilet water pressure was poor in flushing. A firmer mattress is fine but this was very firm

Very clean and adorable Nothing! It was perfect.

The hotel is very conveniently located in the center of town with most interesting thing within walking distance. The staff is very kind and accommodating. They made sure our stay was worthwhile by showing attention to details. The parking facility is a 3 minute walk away from the porch. Our room was spacious and also contained a comfortable couch. Being in Mexico the hustle and bustle on the street could be observed. After a long day strolling through town when your tired this is probably not a problem, it wasn't for us at least. But for the light sleepers it is something to take into account.

breakfast was provided: fruit, coffee, bread items. For extra cost we had a choice of scrambled eggs or tamales. All was very good The air-conditioning was very good (a necessity!) and it was easy to get refills for water, as the water supply requires us to get a filtered water for drinking. The desk always had a person there whenever we arrived back from our day and they helped us in numerous ways, advising and getting taxi service, etc. The courtyard was beautiful. There are only 7 rooms, so the service is very personal.

This hotel was in a top location. Being solo I wanted to walk to many places and found it very safe. The neighborhood was lively. The hospitality was above my expectation. The staff really took care of me. They made reservations for me such as taxis hair stylists as I was in for a wedding I was able to get to work companies to pick me up right at the hotel. I spoke to a few people at breakfast who have been there numerous times and it was for the reasons I stated above the location was excellent the hospitality was amazing I would return. Nothing.
