Great The towels need update also the mattress

Large rooms, good location next to Zocalo but be aware of the noise from music and festivities. I chose an inside room with no balcony for this reason. It was what I expected for a colonial era hotel.
-
It was really nice to stay closer to everything ,restaurants ,stores ,it was nice to see so many people outside ,some were dancing ,I was dancing, others eating ,kids having fun ,everything just a few steps away from the hotel, we sleep with the window open ,no need for a/c, we really enjoy it ,for sure we will be back . I really like the location and the walking distance to all the places around it.
-
Have some continental breakfast ready if restaurant is not open on time.
-
The central location comes with a cost of silence. One can hear music from the park besides.

Great location. The room was big and well appointed. I had a problem with the man who does the night/early morning shift. As I arrived I asked him to reserve a taxi for the next morning. In the afternoon, I went to the desk and asked to make sure the taxi was reserved. Because the man in the morning didn't write anything down, the afternoon clerk double booked me a taxi. The next morning as I came downstairs, the early shift man started yelling at me for booking two taxis, said I had no integrity and demanded that I go outside and cancelled the taxi that had arrived. I refused and he got angrier. I just left. The taxi driver told me they've had problems with that man and he would report it to his boss. Not a pleasant experience

Quiet and clean They need newer towels

The beds were horribly uncomfortable, I had to add the extra blanket to the bed to make it slightly comfortable. No AC, just a basic fan. There is no access to an elevator for handicap to get to the second level, which is where all the rooms are.
-
The beds were horrible, so uncomfortable you couldn't fall asleep. Roof had rotting wood, no air-conditioned rooms, or elevator, which a member of my family is handicapped and can hardly walk.
-
I loved the place and even better, the location is perfect and super close to stores, restaurants and the unforgettable mercado 20 de noviembre. Thank you to Monte Alban hotel

Superb

Location is very centrical. Receptionists are very attentive It is horribly noisy area. Clowns on a main square until 10.30pm with such a loud music that you can’t sleep even with window doors shut. Or it could be a black waters truck doing the job at 2am… you name it.

Great location! Big comfortable room! Great service! Good resturant!
-
The bed were very comfortable, location was good. The non existent hot water in the shower.
-
It can be noisy in the evening, specially if someone is performing with a loud speaker, even with the window closed the noise comes in (from 8pm - 11pm). The place does seem a bit old. Hot water takes 10mins to come through. The bed is a bit hard.
-
Quaint, surprisingly quiet given its location on a bustling Jardin. No direct access from any street, but pedestrian approaches are smooth and flat. Great staff and service Dust, dirt, grime in corners
-
Great location and old world charm Was sometimes noisy and staff were good not great.

Location is one of the best in Oaxaca. Beds are relatively comfortable. Clean facilities. Rooms are very sparse. If you have a balcony over the zocalo you could chill in your room otherwise they are not that comfortable. Day staff was wonderful. Night staff grumpy and sort of rude if you come in after 11pm.
