Santa Helena Plaza hotel was very clean, comfortable, safe, peaceful. Staff was very friendly, helpful. Family friendly environment. Pool was exceptional, clean, relaxing.

We stayed 3 nights and water in the pool was always off, the lounge area/bar unusable. The towels are too old, they should buy new ones.

The hotel is located within blocks of the Zocalo which is the center of the heart of the city. It is a 5-10 minute walk the main attractions as well as the main markets. It is hard to find decent hotels near the center of the town given its history and the cities efforts preserve it. This hotel was not only in a great location but it also had AC and a pool which is very rare to find in Oaxaca. The beds and pillows were a bit hard for our comfort and the wifi did not work very well.

Wish there was a mini fridge and that the bathroom’s broken shower door was updated.

The location to the city Center and all sites was great The only coffee as from vending machine in lobby which was just ok coffee

I like that this hotel is near the bus station to Huautla, and a very good hotel. I didn't notice anything I would not like.

Great location, quiet even though it was in the middle of a bustling town.

The pool was really great. Generally quiet, location was good, staff was really nice Mattress was quite firm. I loved it but my girlfriend thought it was a bit too firm.

This place was fantastic with a great spot close to the center. There was a very relaxing pool area with plenty of space to spread out. When I return to Oaxaca I will definitely stay here again.

Pool, balcony, cold beer in vending machine in lobby First day the bathroom towels had holes in them, would prefer in room safe instead of behind the desk and lack of coffee maker (although there was a coffee vending machine in the lobby)

Staff was friendly. Pool was clean. Extremely dated hotel. A little bit of investment and TLC could make this a much nicer hotel. I realize Oaxaca has become much more expensive over the last several years, but this place is overpriced for what it is.

Didn’t eat, ate elsewhere The safety deposit box could have been ready for use as soon as I arrived rather than requiring staff to come in and ready it for guest use

Although the hotel is only a few blocks from Zocalo , the location around wasn’t pleasant as the streets around we very popular , lot of constructions on the roads , noisy during the night as well .
