Great budget stay Noisy. The roombwas next to the street where there was a lot of traffic

The hostel is very loud, noises from the street and from inside courtyard kept us up. We woke up to a room full of little flying bugs, perhaps they came from the cracks in the windows. The front desk were nice but not very helpful.

We loved the breakfast and staff. Maria y Bicinia were great cooks and kitchen hosts.

Breakfast different every day Good staff The bed wasn't very comfortable Not much pressure in the bathroom A bit noisy at night but due to the other guests

The location is excellent, less than 10 min walking distance to the Zócalo and a few blocks away from the food and handicraft market. Breakfast was great and a lot, served in a pleasant patio. Staff is helpful and kind. We got a room by the street which was noisy, just like any other Oaxaca’s road. Good earplugs will do the trick. The hostel was pretty empty during our stay, which felt comfortable but a bit sad.

The breakfast is good, they have hot water for bathing

We had to change rooms because the toilet seat was broken. In the new room, water from the shower leaked through the glass, leaving the floor under the toilet flooded. The room faced the street, making it quite noisy. Overall, it lacked the hostel vibe we were hoping for.

It's the city centre. Breakfast is really good. Women employees in the kitchen and housekeepers are so polite and helpful, smiling. You can find everything around the hostel you need. It's clean. We got a reserved private room for 2 people. But the room was different for 4 people. There is no place for moving because of beds. When we spoke with the receptionist, he said to us that someone who has stayed in this room and they extended their reservations. That means the room we got reservation is busy. We asked why didn't you close those days for guests. He replied only I can't do anything. If you want to cancel, you can go , he didn't even say apologise. We were so tired, we didn't have the energy to find some place and carry luggage again. That's why we stayed. All the furniture is so old but all things are clean. By the way there is a restaurant across from the hotel, on the corner. Meals taste really bad and impolite waitdresser, it's expensive

    the room is super noisy. the first night there were only a thin sheet for cover without blanket or quilt. even it is warm in day time, at night it was cold, so the first night we were so cold that we couldnt sleep, until second day we asked for blankets. the windows by the street can be a bit more sound proof; the locked should be available for the family when it is rented by a family (we only get one locker even we take the whole room);

Location is great. In the centre between all the markets and the landmarks 15 mins walk . Breakfast is nice, you can also bring your food to enhance it (I need to eat a lot of veggies, so I was provided with everything to make a salad for myself in the morning) Everything was fine

    Exceptional

Nice garden. Great views from the rooftop. Good location close to the Zocalo. Helpful staff. Warm shower. Nice breakfast included in the very reasonable price Quite noisy at night - traffic and keys of people outside

Good location and the breakfast was delicious. The people running the breakfast service were awesome. A few people had issues when checking in. They struggled to find our reservation and then tried to charge us again (already paid via booking.com) but another couple was led to believe their booking was gone and spent a night freaking out that they would have nowhere to go. The next morning, another staffer found the booking no worries! Stress for nothing! It was also annoying to be put in separate rooms from my partner. He also got randomly moved with no notice. Came back to his room and his bedding was gone. Nothing really bad, just some quirks of hostel life but good to be aware that you may have some issues on arrival so be prepared :)

Rooms are on street, if super sensitive noise may be a problem. Additionally location is close to zocalo and markets but far from the main church and more touristy part of town

I would say room is clean but ants in the bathroom sometime on my bed! Stuffs are very nice and friendly. Room #5 need a new toilet and seat, they used tape to cover the broken seat!! Unbelievable! I had to wrap toilet seat with toilet paper.

Loved staying here, especially the breakfast in the courtyard everyday Nothing

Very nice hostel located close from the Zocalo as well as from the biggest market of the city and the station of the tour buses to Monte Albán. We arrived one day earlier than expected and asked for a room not on the street's side, and both conditions were kindly arranged by the staff. The breakfast was nice, with fresh fruit and eggs cooked in a different way every morning, served in a pleasant patio next to the garden. We also had recommendations from the staff about what to do in Oaxaca and around and they kept our luggage after check-out until our time to leave the city, which was very convenient for us. Nothing

Hostel is close to the center. Breakfast is good. Matras of the bed is very hard. The window in the room does not have a curtain while at night the lights stay in in the hallway. This way it doesn't get dark in the bedroom. The bathroom has a very large window but, again, without a curtain it something. This makes that people in the street can see what you are doing in the bathroom (showering etc.) This review goes for room 13. I don't know how the other rooms are.

  • Engine customer Feb 2024

Water pressure was a bit odd around morning time.

Noise from busy street. Requested fan, which helped.
