Best view of the rooftop, excellent staff

Good location, plenty of common area so of you work from your laptop.. you'll always find your spot. Free drinking water, coffee and kitchen to use. Dirty towels. What's the thing with hiving guests towels with yellow and black spots?? Disrespecting and DISGUSTING!!! Same with bathrooms.. I tried three different bathrooms in the morning and all were thilthy! You must jave cleaning staff with that size of a hostel. This place has 4 floors with tones of common areas and terraces.. but they didn't care to make it comfortable. Though there was one hammock and 3 improvised sunbeds (dirty matrasses).. chairs in the terrace are un comfortable and common areas are missing outlets to charge your phone. Like it's a great building in a great location, but the people who run ot didn't think too much of how to make it pleasant for the guests. Share bedroom was just 4 separate beds.. I prefer the usual dormes with curtains and more privacy.

The location was rather central in Oaxaca. The room was private, with a shared bathroom. That was great for privacy and comfort, compared to other hostels I used for a similar price in Mexico. The building is big and there are many options to rest, work, hang out. Internet was also good, which allowed me to have a virtual video interview with no issues. The shower at the bathroom closest to my room was not providing hot water, but I could solve the issue using a shower in another section of the same floor.

Good price, close to the center, communal areas to sit. Staff not very friendly, a bit anonymous place. On a busy street, but we had a room at the back, so that did not bother us.

Price and communication by message

The kitchen is not the best and is small, but you can get around.

The room they assigned me to was on the third floor and there was no elevator in the facility. It was hard for me to carry up to the room. The hotel is located in the center of the city and the traffic gets busy even in the morning.

Excellent on everything Absolutely nothing, great place

Great value for the money. Private room sharing bath with 2 others for less than $20 night. Rooftop deck with fabulous view. Computer available for guest use. Free storage. Never really had hot water. Limited kitchen facility. Lots of stairs. Staff was fine except for following: they did not seem to check Booking.Com messages with any regularity. Days would go by without responding. Sometimes there was never a response.I was advised that they would hold bed for me while I went off to Mazunte for a few days, but I returned to find they had no bed for me. Granted, I was supposed to return Thursday or Friday, but I did message them several times to advise them of this. Seemingly they never read the message, because certainly they never responded. Other than this staff was helpful with carrying luggage up stairs and helping find taxis, etc .

I had an excellent stay in this single room in Oaxaca. The room was comfortable and offered the privacy I needed, making it a great place to relax after a day out. The location is fantastic — just steps from the main market and within easy walking distance of the historic area, so exploring the city was effortless. Everything felt convenient and welcoming, making it a perfect base for discovering Oaxaca.

In a great area, nice common spaces and nice natural lighting. Good showers, provided a towel and blankets on the beds. The street could be a bit noisy at night, but nothing some ear plugs can’t fix
-
The common areas are very clean.
-
The shower sprayed straight out at me when I turned it on ?
-
The kitchen could be better equipped.
-
The Wi-Fi signal is only good on the first floor; it's very weak on other floors.

Kitchen is a bit neglected. Sink faucet should be repaired. At NYE was full house and no extra blanket. Super cold night. Matress rather hard.

the hostal is amazing , clean and has lots of terraces . if your Spanish is not that good you might get into trouble cause no one speak English from thr employees. also try not to forget your key in the room and lock it by mistake cause the extra keys are not in the hostel they need to send someone to get it from the office in another building in oaxaca which might take up to an hour. i wish the manager who dont speak English and the owner *who i contacted after i couldn't understand fully what the manager was saying" were both more professional. keeping in mind that i stayed in this hostel more than 40 days in the last 4 months and i got kicked out by the owner through WhatsApp only for not be able to communicate.

It was clean and spacious. Bathroom was clean and easily accessible The wifi was very poor. The room was so noisy from speakers on the street below, pulsing loud from 8 am to 9 or 10 pm. A reading light would have been a small thing to add. The locks on the bedroom were feeble. Just a place to stay until I found somewhere better.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the place has nice big common areas with different features: gym, rooftop hangout, cooking & eating areas. My private room was on the small side but was clean & comfortable. I had a very pleasant stay here.
