Lighting in rooms is really poor. Impossible to read or put make up properly.. Furthermore, breakfast was ok... not great.

Breakfast and location were great. it met expectations. the noise at night from the clubs were really disturbing. wish i knew what i was getting into while booking.

Great design and super chic. A lot of instragramable spots. Nothing in particular to point out. The bathroom sink area was a little uncomfortable but other than that all great!

The property was beautifully restored and impeccably maintained. The staff was beyond helpful with wonderful attitudes. You get the feeling that they love their jobs. We were sorry to leave. Definitely recommend staying there for an amazing Oaxaca experience. The location was the best! Can’t think of a thing. The room named Noche was perfect for us.

Cozy, well appointed, and very artistic decor. Breakfasts were great and the service is truly outstanding. Our bathroom was a bit cumbersome.

The breakfast was delicious and it was served, rather than a buffet, which improved the quality. There was always fresh juice and coffee available. The setting was beautiful. I always prefer when hotels play local music rather than American music.

Room is a bit dark but ok.

Top aesthetics, generous breakfast, super friendly staff.

Not much As soon as i walked in i ran into a very rude woman working at the front desk after an 8 hour flight she tried to tell me that i could not bring my dog to this already dog friendly hotel. Then she had a disgusting attitude the remainder of the stay. I told her i want a full refund if i cannot bring my dog. Details were already discussed prior to my arrival about bringing my dog so they knew about it.

The room

The building itself is beautiful and architecturally striking. The bellhop who brought our bags to the room was very kind and welcoming, which we appreciated The hotel felt very dark overall, and the marble interiors created a cold, damp feeling rather than a cozy atmosphere. Being on the ground floor significantly impacted our stay — we could hear people talking in the courtyard, loud kitchen noise early in the morning, and children running and shouting, which was especially disruptive. We were surprised to see children at the property, as it didn’t feel well suited to families. Privacy was also an issue. Our room faced the courtyard, so we didn’t feel comfortable opening the windows since people could see directly inside. The bathroom window, although frosted, had a noticeable gap and also looked out onto the courtyard, further reducing privacy. For the price we paid, we expected something exceptional, but unfortunately the experience didn’t meet that standard for us. Other hotels in the area that we stayed in were far better and cost us 20% of this stay.

Everything about Pug Seal exceeded our expectations. This was a surprise for my partner for a special occasion and he loved it. Nothing at all.

This place has unique charm. The restored building from the 1800s shows a beautiful patina, a central atrium with a fountain and sculptures and colorful rooms that are incredibly spacious. it's right in the heart of Centro, but not on a loud main drag. They provide sodas and water and coffee for free and a cute honor bar, with beers, wine and kombucha for purchase. The staff is friendly and on the desk 24/7 The whole experience was lovely and seamless. No issues. It is a higher price for the city, but I think the output reflects the cost. If you are looking to really immerse yourself in a hotel moment, this is a great choice
