Beautiful!! Everything is even more beautiful than the pictures! The staff was amazing and helpful. They were so respectful and kind.

Location was excellent. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was very nice The bed was very hard, I didn’t sleep the first night but they added an extra mattress pad for night two but it still was very uncomfortable.

The hotel is amazing! Bed was comfortable and very quiet! Loved the furniture and up stairs patio. Just our shower was a bit wonky. Sprayed everywhere ?♀️

Loved the staff friendliness! Don Elvira (king room) was spacious and enjoyed sitting outside on the roof terrace. Appreciated we could substitute (or pay extra) for the daily breakfasts. The rooftop terrace is run down…could use some plant TLC and working lights for night time enjoyment. Meals were good and esp. enjoyed having daily cappuccino’s at breakfast.

I had a room that did not have a window or balcony that opened to the outside.

We liked being in a historical context The stairs. It was very difficult for us to climb the stairs. We would have preferred to have an elevator
-
It looked just like the pictures, close to everything in town. There was no hot water or elevator

The location, far from places and traveling alone I do have to stay I was a bit scared having to walk in the dark streets (which I understand it's out of the hotels hands). Waking up in the morning, I love to shower hot water was working but the amount of water coming out was impossible to shower, tired the cold water and same thing. Felt disgusted all day without being about to shower. I had to catch a flight that same morning. Sorry but don't recommend I'm a clean persona and didn't like that I was unable to shower.

Our room shouldn’t be a room at all .. it felt like the private room for the chef or something like that , pretty small hotel

Excellent location, nice room, great personnel.

The stairs!

The location is great. The room is nice decorated and the AC is nice. The water from the shower goes out of the bathroom!

My wife loved the old architecture. The look of the hotel was good. The room was the photos shown. We were not received very well at check in. Nothing was explained to us. We had to ask for the WiFi. It wasn’t given to us like most hotels. They didn’t explain the facilities, the restaurant hrs, check out time or anything else. We lost our opportunity to eat breakfast because it wasn’t explained that breakfast for only 2 hrs in the morning.

Cold shower, little privacy (the doors have a gap underneath and windows — only a curtain provides privacy but it does the make the room sound proof). There was mold in the bathroom.

The shower was dirty and the tv wasn’t working

Location was great, right in the heart of the Historic district. Close to the Zocalo and other sites. They offer some excursion planning at the hotel. We walked to some nice restaurants that were within a couple of blocks and there was a grocery store just down the street to pick up any extra items. We had a situation that there were no towels available one day. They removed our towels from the room and we were gone all day on a tour. When we got back I asked about towels for the room and was told none would be available until later that evening. The hotel was fully occupied and they were not able to provide even 1 towel for our room. this was the only problem and we didn't have any issues the rest of the stay.

Oaxaca is AMAZING! The staff at Casa Garay were great. My room was perfect size, the bed was way too hard and the A/C unit did not cool the room. Never got anyone to repair it either. Hard beds No A/C Shower head didn't really work to its full spray.

The hotel is well located in the heart of the city. Decoration and architecture are pretty and make you travel in time. Breakfast and cleanness could be better
