Hotel del Marquesado

The hotel is gorgeous!! The staff was super friendly and helpful with hailing a taxi and offering plenty of suggestions of places to go in the city. We were also able to check in early which was a pleasant surprise. The tv in the hotel has streaming services and the room was so clean. Plus the location is a good one near the city center! I have no complaints! The only thing I wish I got to try was the restaurant in the hotel, but they were doing reservations so totally understandable.

Really nice & comfortable and kind staffs. Walking distance to Centro & close to grocery stores. Nothing to complain about, we're confused about the negative reviews we read before our stay.

Great location and feel. Excellent food. We had lunch and breakfast once. A special shout out to the staff in particular Luis who was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. I don’t often experience being addressed by name from day one, as if I was a regular customer. To me this is hospitality at its best. Our room was mostly quiet from outside noise, but the door was allowing a lot of noise from the hallway to come through. Not ideal if you’re trying to have an early night.

We had a good stay here. The staff, Luis in particular, were super friendly and helpful. I recommend staying here.

The staff was fantastic. Really helpful in small ways that made a big difference. Whatever questions or needs we had, they were able to answer and provide materials needed. They somehow knew it was my birthday and surprised me with chocolates and some sort of folded towel sculpture that was heartfelt, not merely a perfunctory service. I spotted the woman who prepared it and she was tickled, really joyful, at seeing my surprise and pleasure. A little dark, but that is the nature of the building.

No breakfast

We loved everything about this hotel from check in to checking out. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our requests, our luggage, our every need. The hotel is beautifully appointed, quiet, in a good, safe location. I cannot say enough about the restaurant’s breakfast and coffee. We loved staying there and we have reservations to return. There was NOTHING about this hotel I didn’t like.

Good

Located close to central town, polite and attentive staff, very clean. Windows didn’t open so had to use air condition. Located by a busy road so it was very loud in the evening. They keep birds in a cage at the patio which is cruel to the animals.

Staff was evasive and not friendly Location

Exceptionally clean, wonderful staff and great location. This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Zocalo with lots of local things to see along the way. Luis was so helpful arranging a couple of tours for us and when we sent our laundry in to be cleaned is was back in our room within 2 hours! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. The room safe and hair dryer didn’t work, but our passports were kept safely in the main safe and hair dryer wasn’t a big deal. Would have been nice to have a kettle or coffee maker in the room.
