Location is great much more calmer area of the city. The property just felt a bit off. Barely came across people. Staff seemed to be there only on the morning. Breakfast was offered but we didn’t partake as we preferred to eat elsewhere. Communal spaces are limited and internet is bad. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the WiFi signal isn’t strong enough to reach the room. We had no internet during our stay and also be aware there is no TV. Just very basic accommodation and not worth the price. We stayed at another hotel before this one and offered much more. The room is clean. One caveat is the window in the bathroom isn’t completely sealed so insects can easily enter the bathroom. Also felt the AC unit was quite loud and probably needs service.

Rooms were clean, beds super comfortable, and location was pretty easy to get to. Welcome drink was a nice touch. Good value for the money. Breakfast was pretty dry eggs, so we switched to eat outside. Staff were very nice but were not there sometimes and only reachable by What’s app. Water was only cold one day.

Beautiful room with a very comfortable bed, quiet street within easy walking distance of the center and lots of great restaurants. The drain in the shower did struggle a bit when I had the shower at full force, but when I mentioned it at the front desk they did something to it because it improved for the rest of my stay.

The hotel is beautiful and I specially loved the japanese pond by the lobby. Everyone from the staff was super friendly and very helpful during our stay. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. I also found the bed to be extremely comfortable, and really appreciate the AC for warmer nights. We ran into a few issues during our stay (shower was clogged and ended up flooding the bathroom, safe box ran out of battery) but staff was very quick to solve them. Breakfast was tasty but would be nice to have a few more options on the menu.

The property is stunning. The owner clearly has an eye for attention to detail and it shows with everything perfectly curated corner and thoughtful touch. The ceiling of our room was gorgeous, we could’ve stared at it for hours. And the staff were incredible kind, gracias Laura y Carolina! There’s construction going on next door from 9-5. Not really an issue for us as we weren’t really at the hotel during the day but something to note for light sleepers.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. They charged us more than what booking said they would and said they had sent us an email with the details, which was a lie. There was construction on the property beside, we asked to be moved to another room (they had 3 vacant ones) because they were drilling and hammering on the opposite wall to us. They didn’t give any solutions whatsoever, just some earplugs. Overall an uncomfortable stay.

Eric, the proprietor is a very talented and artistic man. He is friendly and wants to guarantee you enjoy your stay. He has traveled to Japan and he demonstrates an Asian aesthetic throughout. The location is great for traveling into the main square by foot. And his neighborhood is both quiet and safe. He does not offer breakfast but he supplies good coffee in your room. If you want a comfortable place to hang out, book now before all five rooms are booked. There was nothing I did not like. Eric is a great host and wants his guest to relax and enjoy. Very comfortable patio furniture. The rooms are spotless. It is a great place to stay when visiting Oaxaca.

Lovely spot tucked behind the busy streets, clean and spacious room, helpful and attentive staff. Nothing to mention, other than this place could benefit from a breakfast service (currently not offered)

The staff or owner was very nice and tried to accommodate any problems or needs that I had. The design looked great and very refined, but as noted was sometimes lacking in practical function. The location is quiet, but you can hear sources of music somewhere if you have the window open. There were some attractive common outdoor spaces, but they were most convenient for the upper floor guests. The shower had hot water right away and pressure like a fire hose. I liked the high vaulted ceiling and spaciousness of the room. The location was near to the centre, but up a dead end street which made vehicle access difficult. The lane is narrow and cobbled with large uneven stones that are quite difficult to walk on. The room looks beautiful but there were many strange design choices made. The doorway to the room is about normal width but divided in two vertical narrow doors. To pass through it without unlatching the second door I had to remove any bags or hats and squeeze sideways. I wanted to like this place so much, and to relax here, but small irritants added up. Bedside lamps were not near enough the bed to provide good reading light. Their switches were located awkwardly far from the bed, and on one side near the floor. The bed was a King size, but the mattress felt tired. There was a small side table that might be used as a desk, but it had no light. Also no light for the wardrobe. Instead of bedside tables there were rough sawn timbers stacked, with plastic foliage behind them against the wall, that could have used dusting. I arrived on a Saturday, but early on Monday morning heavy construction started on, literally, the other side of my bedroom wall, and continued daily. The lack of breakfast meant having to get out and find something to eat when you might like to relax around the hotel.

i believe the hotel is fairly new so I think this feedback can be helpful to them as they continue to improve operations. Overall really enjoyed my stay and I would come back but here's a few things I noticed: - my friend and I could not stand the smell of the hand soaps in the bathroom. It had a very strong scent of honey. - one of the days when I got back to the room there was a super dirty cleaning rag that was left on top of my make up bag in the bathroom which was upsetting because it was likely left behind by someone who had just cleaned the bathroom. - the shower pressure is the most intense i've ever experienced in my life so beware! (not necessarily a negative but it might bother someone else) - I also wished the room had more natural light - but at least its helpful for a good nights rest! All of these are small things though and overall I would still highly recommend staying here!

My stay at the property was absolutely divine! It’s such a beautiful property and feels so peaceful and zen. The staff was wonderfully accommodating and had everything we needed on site. We would definitely return to this property for our next Oaxaca trip. The location is also so close to Centro area where all the shops and restaurants are. Everything was great!

Very comfort place and the staff was so kind ! loved it :)

Comfortable bed, nice and cool with the AC, quiet area, spotless (the room smelt so beautiful) and such friendly staff. Also a very sweet location, and an easy walk to main sights. Loved our stay here. Didn’t realise until after we left that we were charged a fair bit more at the property than our online booking. I’m not sure if we just missed something and I’m sure there was no ill intent but worth comparing at the time of paying to be sure.

Really lovely stay for anyone who enjoys a boutique hotel experience. We booked the Deluxe Room and found it to be immaculately clean and generously sized for 2 people. It's just as chic as in the photos. The shared spaces, which include two seating areas and a peaceful rock garden and water feature, have a spa-like vibe. Coming into the hotel always felt like a respite from the bustle of the city. Location for us was perfect - less than a 10 minute walk to the city center, but located on a quiet, safe street. A note on the staff: Eric, who greeted us at arrival and also bid us goodbye at 6 AM, has a really kind and pleasant energy, and was always just a WhatsApp message away from answering a question or helping us book a taxi. For design lovers, 2 destination handicraft and pottery shops (Cooperativa 1050 and Aripo) are just a block away from the hotel, a nice convenience when needing to drop off heavy purchases! Not an issue for us but note that there is no early check-in.

Very kind staff, very clean and comfortable.

Location, the rooms were nicely decorated and clean. It felt like an airbnb rental vs a boutique hotel.
