El Callejón Hotel Boutique

Clean, comfortable, beautiful property in a fantastic location. We were able to walk to everything. The staff were friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to engage with our toddler. Also the tap water is safe, which made everything so much easier. We had no upstairs neighbor until the last night, which was fortunate because the sound of them dragging chairs across the tile floor was super loud. On Saturday night, the club music was a little intense, but didn’t reach us in the bedroom.

We moved to El Callejon as our original hotel was not good. From the moment we arrived here we knew we had made a wonderful decision. This is a truly beautiful hotel set in a beautiful oasis of a garden and incredibly calm and relaxing as a result. The staff could not be more hospitable or helpful and I would recommend that anyone staying in Oaxaca stays here, it is a real gem. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making it such a great stay in Oaxaca Everything was great, couldn't fault it at all!

I did think the room was pricey, but I imagine that's based on demand; also we didn't need such a huge living room, but I believe that was all that was available for our dates

The staff were fabulous, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was varied and tasty, and the location was perfect -- close to Centro, but far enough away to be tranquil. We would stay there again.

Like an oasis in the middle of a buzzing city. We received an upgrade, too. The staff were superfriendly and helpful. Also, the driver they recommended was excellent (and provided guide services too). A bit pricey but it comes with all the bells and whistles after all, so worth it in a global context (if expensive in the Oaxaca context). Breakfast service was a bit slow but a minor inconvenience (just make sure you bring some time if you have an excursion booked).

The staff was super helpful and easily available to answer questions via WhatsApp. They also helped set up a cooking class and provided car rental information to do a trip to Puerto Escondido. The hotel is charming and you are greeted with a mezcal icy. Also, each night there is a chocolate treat in your room. Great hotel with soft towels. Wish the bar area was open later and had snacks to enjoy. The bar is in a garden which is very nice but not used much at night.

The location was great, close to downtown but in a quieter part, also that we travelled as family was great the space as we could spend more time together in our own private place. the bed and pillows were not so confortable.

A beautiful small and quite hotel. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The staff was exceptional. From the ladies (and gentleman at night) at the front desk, to our server at breakfast, to the best bartender in the city, Jose, everyone was so kind and learned your name and made you feel right at home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would come back and stay here WHEN I go back to Oaxaca. Nothing. Everything was exceptional.
