The room was big, spacious with lots of storage. It was also very clean, like everything else in the complex was pretty clean. The food was pretty good and the staff was friendly. Adult entertainment was nice, with karaoke nights, dance or music nights. The service was on a high level. The water in pool was very cold and I didn't have enough courage to dip myself in it even once. With the sea being pretty rough for a few days unfortunately pool was our only options (as we had small kids) and it was just cold and not pleasant. Kids pool was very cold too. Even Jacuzzi was cold. Every single day we had same options for breakfast and got pretty tired of this same food by the end of our stay. Spa and massage prices were outrageous. Kids club did not offer any good kids entertainment. It was just a room that was pretty empty and not much to do. The hotel did not have sun chairs on the beach so we had to pay for those.

The room was full of ants throughout the entire vacation The cleaner forgot to clean the room some days and I had to go to the reception to request it The food is not suitable for people coming from the East The hospitality experience is not good I will not return to the hotel

Great staff support, helpful and kind. Good food, plenty of choices, always crowded at meal time but not uncomfortable and not having issues with finding a place at a table. Spacious room, good overall comfort. The bad was too soft for our taste and regarding cleaning, we did not missed the sand on our floor for the whole vacation. We expected more for the children, maybe an indoor playing room would bring value and the pool for kids is placed in a position without sun light after lunch and the draught is actually windy. Maybe a heated outside pool would do better.

the sea is close, direct acesses from the hotel. Check-in was disappointing. Our first room had a window facing nothing but seagull droppings. After asking to move, we were given a fifth-floor room with only a partial sea view — which staff denied even existed. Instead of helping with luggage, they made us drag everything through reception ourselves. A friend of mine had the same experience, plus a room with no working A/C. Maintenance and service were equally poor. My shower head was broken and, despite asking three times, it was never fixed. My friend had no toilet paper in his room and was told by reception to “come down and get it.” The overall attitude from staff was unhelpful and dismissive. The pool was a letdown: towels only available from 9–12, the water was freezing even in warm weather, and the pool itself is far too small. By 6 a.m., nearly all sunbeds were already “reserved” with towels despite hotel rules. None of this was enforced. Although this is marketed as a seafront hotel, there were no sunbeds, umbrellas, or beach service. For a property in this location, that feels unacceptable. I’ve stayed at Hyatt hotels before and always had excellent service. Unfortunately, this one falls far below that standard. I will not return and do not recommend it.

Lack of service from the staff. Very cold water in the pools.

Decent price, decent facilities The beach... There is a river or some lake pouring into the sea right next to the hotel location. You can hear the frogs during the night. I wouldn't trust bathing around that area. The air conditioning was basically a fan blowing warm air. It didn't look clean either. Their recommended app didn't show any events and I couldn't even login. They have some paid parking spaces. Alternatively you may use the stadium parking. Other than that I have no idea where can you park.

The pool is very nice, close to the beach. The inside pool is good to have in case of bad weather. Diverse and really good entertainment programs! Kid friendly It would be nice to have a barista making real coffee at least in the lobby bar area

Excellent facilities, nice view, very tasty food, friendly and polite personnel in the restaurant. But in the restaurant ONLY! Terrible attitude at the reception- arrogant, unhelpful and making nasty comments when asked for help. I would suggest if these people are unhappy with their job to better quit instead of creating bad image for the hotel. I was dissatisfied of their service per phine and on the spot too. Another thing I disliked is the parking- one should pay 15bgn a day for parking that is even not secured. Doesn‘t communicate high-end hotel to me!

We came back at the end of the summer for a second stay at Alua Helios Bay, because we love the hotel, the beach and the amenities. A special note for the restaurant; very good cuisine et many choices of food. Very good wine also. We'll surely come back the next season. The Thai restaurant was open only in our first evening and we couldn't have a table because no reservation, even if many tables were available. We wonder what the badge "My favorite club" served to ?!

Choice very good in restaurant although quite noisy and very busy in this area with queuing. Room extremely comfortable. A free bottle of sparkling wine in the room to help us celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary. Certainly a lovely touch and we were very grateful. Thank you. Close proximity for parking and the sea. Queuing in restaurant. One lift out of order and long wait for the lift.

Superb

Comfy beds, big balcony, sea view. The food was good and the beach was clean. We could've used some kind of wooden paths along the beach to walk easier.
-
Nice hotel, nice location, food options were decent and food was of good quality.
-
We loved the size of the room, there was plenty of space, the food was nice and there are a lot of spaces for activities with children. The pool area seemed a bit dated and the water was really cold, things stated by some friends that were here mid-jully, when the outside temperatures were very high.
-
The location and the fact that the beach in front was clear of sun lounges. That is my personal preference for a closer to nature feel. I is trully a 3 star accomodation. there is nothing that qualifies for a 4 star rating. No vegan options easily available. And as you would expect from any All Inclusive location, quality of foods and drinks was very low.

Not all staff speaks too good english, but we managed to understand each other.
