HVD Club Hotel Miramar - Ultra All Inclusive

I have a very sensitive stomach. But the food was so good and fresh I did not have any issue which is such a big win for me. Everything was so close beach 2 mins. Any kind of pool you need at your fingers. Very nice! Also how clean the areas where you eat were all day cleaning. This is amazing! Q Only downside is that the bed sheets were not changed for the 5 days we stayed. Ah also I think this depends on the timeframe but the indoor pool was closed but this did not bother us.

Two out of four elevators not working. Compared with 2 years ago food diversity decreased, but food was still tasty.

Our room was close to the only working elevator. It was making a highly annoying noise that we were hearing whenever it was used. The noises inside the elevator made us try not to use it when possible. The room and the furniture felt dated and worn out. There was a constant unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom.

The only good thing about this property is the location and the access to the beach. This was one of the worst resort stays I’ve ever had, especially considering the price—7,400 leva for three rooms over four nights under the “ultra all-inclusive” package. The resort may have been worthy of four stars when it was built in 2006, but today it is a shadow of that standard. From the moment we arrived, things went downhill. The lobby is outdated, and the first thing you notice are two dirty fish tanks—not exactly a great welcome. The man at the front desk (possibly a manager, middle-aged with dyed hair) was extremely rude and unhelpful. There were only two luggage carts available for the entire resort, which meant a 30-minute wait just to get our bags to the room. The rooms themselves were very disappointing—old spring mattresses, a strong moldy smell, and no body wash or even hand soap provided. The food was greasy and repetitive, offering little variety from day to day. Most of the staff seemed untrained and could not communicate in either English or Bulgarian, which made everything more difficult. To make matters worse, the phones in our rooms didn’t work, so we had no way to reach the front desk for assistance. Overall, this resort is in serious need of renovation and better management. I do not recommend it and would not return.

I was not very confident about the choice but when i was reaching the room and see the surroundings i was impressed. Nice location. The hotel is not new but is clean and well maintained. The pools are amazing, the beach is near to the property. Restaurant is big and they have plenty choices including baby food and formula.

Exceptional

I loved the beach being private, the pools variety and the many restaurants they had, so if it was crowded in one of them, you could’ve gone to another one. I also liked the design of the rooms and the landscaping, the luxurious flowers and plants, it was lovely. The animation team was gorgeous with young people so happy and eager to make the guests feel nice, they had tons of programs and a great variety of activities. Especially for children this is a great pro. As the weather went bad, we really enjoyed the time away from the beach as there was always something to experience The food was really good, with plenty of choices. Overall it was an awesome experience which I would repeat in a less crowded time of the year and I really recommend it. Some spaces need serious redesign and attention as they are really old school and they smell so awkward, as if they are never ventilated (the bar room, Casa del Chef, and even the main dining area). It was also a little unpleasant that the decorative pillows in the room smelled like mold.

Everything was in one place, no need to leave the premises. Big variety of foods, a lot to choose from. Clean pool, clean beach. The policy that you could not reserve a seat at the pool for the day was not respected. Many times we could not find a place because there was a towel left on 2-4 seats, or even shoes. Also if you travel with a toddler the lunch hours are not suitable. Another issue was with the snack time, if you came near the end of the program (say 45 minutes before) there was nothing to eat at that hour. Most of the desserts were not tasty, but plain. The walls of the rooms were very thin and could hear everything the neighbours spoke and there was no ventilation in the bathroom. Also the carpet on the hallway was very old and dirty. I recommend using the stairs, because the elevator is very slow and sometimes it went up instead of going down.

Disappointing

The location was very nice, selection of food and drinks was good as well, the sandy beach was lovely for the kids where they could also look for shells to play with The arrival and the parking was deeply disappointing. We were rushed to pack our luggage in front of the hotel and the family needed to wait until the car was parked outside of the premises. The guarded parking is an overstatement, development would be required on this front. The cleaning was a good effort, but in the bathroom we had the cleaning ladies hair all over.

Snacks in the room were daily fullfilled :) our daughter loved the gummy bears. Room: spacious room, very good airco (Daikin), change of towels when we wanted. Facilities/ebtertainment: nice swimming pool(s), play ground, great entertainment in the evening (we especially liked the party on the beach and the dance show). Met one of the hotel managers in an elevator and she was very nice, said hello and smiled. Cleaning could be improved, especially at the bathroom (sand was not really cleaned for 5 days). Shower could be changed as well - a bit outdated (not easy to set/regulate the temperature and pressure), first evening we had an issue with the water not evacuating at the shower, went to reception to report it and the reaction was a bit strange (they do not say when they will send someone or at least apologize). Also our room phone did not work and for everything we had to go to the reception, was a bit bothering. We reported it, but was not fixed. Theoretically you are not supposed to reserve sunbeds at the pool and beach, lots of people do so, I thin the hotel staff could enforce more.

Excellent meals, variety and taste! Quiet location, many places to spend time and relax. Rooms are clean, correctly sized and equipped. Everything you need is at a few steps distance.
