Princess Bayside Beach Hotel

I like the hotel I like the little private beach and the rooftop pool, but I will not get the fifth floor because of the pool on the top. There was leakage from the roof on the fifth floor due to the pool, being on the top of the roof was always wet so I would suggestive fourth floor on down.

The air conditioner had a leak that had the floor completely wet in the are. The mattresses need to be replaced. They were uncomfortable. Lack of communication upon checkin. I was unaware of the rooftop pool and beach on the bay area until my last day of stay.

Rooms are very dated, we didn’t splurge for a direct bay view room and were met with a subpar space. Horrid carpets mixed with a faint smoke smell were certainly a surprise considering the pictures you see online. Definitely not as pictured. Location was convenient but for what we paid, theres much cheaper places with the same lack of amenities. In addition, we had asked at check in about late check out and were told to call the morning of. Come check out day, we call and ask and the “one extra hour” could not be accommodated. Furthermore, the walls are nearly paper thin, so you will not only hear everyone’s doors slamming, but you will also get a noise complaint if you dare speak higher than a whisper. Overall, despite the location, I was not impressed and would not choose to stay here again.

Elevators took a bit, we were on 5th floor and had small sugar ants, not great water pressure, plus water was either hot or cold in the shower, no in-between. Bathroom sink drained quite slowly. Internet was slow. We were there for 6 nights, and brought our roku stick so we could watch movies at night. It wouldn't connect, so we called and maintenance man came to our rm and very RUDELY told me, "First of all, take it out, 2nd of all, DONT PUT IT BACK IN, we dont allow it here!" We never used the maid service to come into our room. We asked for things as we passed by them. We went to see a movie on last day there, and when we got back, we noticed they had replaced some things in our room. Upon going home, it was discovered that i was missing $100 and gift cards i had in my purse. Reported it to manager, and will wait for response. Wont stay there again.

Very dated property. View of bay and little private beach are the best part. Would not stay again.

I appreciated the bay view from my balcony. Iwas pleased with the room cleanliness and the well working A/C. The beds were very comfortable. I liked the private beach access. I was very taken aback by the condition of the lobby. It was in poor condition. The front windows and entrance doors were very dirty, the curtains were filthy and the furniture was so soiled that I did not want to sit in the chairs or on the couch. The lobby wreaked of cigarette smoke. I could only conclude, from the side access area, for smokers. Our room was clean and very comfortably cool on entrance. Unfortunately, the ceiling above our kitchenette appeared to have been repaired and the tiles were still sagging down as though repaired haphazardly. The bathroom toilet was not suitable for anyone with knee/back issues,as my husband. It was very low to the floor so he had mobility problems with it. While waiting on our room, we asked about Finnagans' only to be told they were not open M,T, but would open W. The desk staff was kind and friendly but did not have answers to some questions about maintenance or finnagans. During my booking and reading up on your hotel, it was never made clear that the only hotel restaurant DID NOT even serve food! Due to the fact that my husband is handicapped, this restaurant accessibility was important to us! We were extremely put-off when Finnagans didn't open on Wednesday either, due too "staffing issue." We finally stopped in to the bar/"restaurant", on Thursday during a tornado warning because we didn't want to venture out. Only to ask if food was served and were pointed to the chips behind the bar by the bartender and told...WE HAVEN'T SERVED FOOD IN OVER 7 YEARS! That was ridiculous. The cleanliness of the bar was terrible, a maintenance man was called in as we sat at the empty bar sipping our beer. He proceeded to use a plunger to "unclog" an ice bin, only to spew water out as the barkeep laughed about the water running under the bar, towards the stools. We had enough and went back to our room and ordered out.

Very affordable hotel and in a popular location. Good for a short stay. Certain rooms have a beautiful view overlooking the bay.

The beds were terrible, very uncomfortable, and the AC made a lot of noise and we couldn’t sleep at all because of it.

Beautiful location, the roof top and indoor pool was great. Only thing i disliked was they don’t provide pool towels. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They were prompt with sending extra blankets and towels to the room. Room was spacious and everything worked. Only issue with the room was the air conditioning was very loud. The view was amazing and the private beach was my favorite part.
