Proximity to downtown. Bed in very rough shape. Incomplete work in bathroom. Hot water barely hot.

The location was nice. It was about a 15-20 minute walk down to the beach and pier with all the restaurants and shops, but there is paid parking that is closer. Even though the cottage is right on the main road, it was quiet enough at night. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of drawers and closet space for anyone planning on staying a while. The pictures of the room I clicked on and booked were not current. What was a couch in the picture was instead an old, very uncomfortable futon. None of the windows had screens so we could not open any of them. The bedroom AC was plugged into a powerstrip in the main room so the door could not close. The place is in desperate need of updating with many of the doors not staying closed. The listing also says there is a stovetop, which is incorrect. The free wifi was weak and unusable no matter what time of day we tried it on our phones. Fortunately we had no other devices that needed it.

The set-up was very cute. It was quiet and close to a cool restaurant. I rented a cabin that was right on Saco, so the traffic noise was pretty bad, but I knew I was getting into that. There is a pool, but it is at the motel across the street. I did not opt to go over. The AC's were cranking in the living room and bedroom- but none in the kitchen/bathroom. THE SETUP was cute but a bit unusual. FRONT DOOR leads to a KITCHEN: minifridge, microwave, coffee maker, some kitchenware. You could cook without issue, but I didn't. TO THE RIGHT IS THE BATHROOM: toilet and a stall shower, no sink. The only sink is in the kitchen, big enough to fit a coffee cup and a saucer for cleaning. I had to fill my large water bottle with cups of water from the tap. The convenience store nearby didn't have any ice, and as far as I could tell, there was no ice for me at the lodge as a boarder. The mini-fridge freezer was iced over, with no trays. SUCKS cuz I have a chronic thirst for ICED beverages. With only one sink, that’s where I did toothbrushing and face/makeup, etc. Also, there was only one mirror in the cabin, and it was in the kitchen. But to my joy, it was full length and next to the sink. THE KITCHEN LEADS TO to the LIVING ROOM. Futon with a dingy 1.5 inch mattress, rocking chair with stained cushion, TV, mini heater, and the only closet in the place. The closet had a curtain held up by a broken tension rod that fell down when I opened it. There was also a window AC in the living room. LIVING ROOM LEADS TO BEDROOM. Queen bed, dresser, AC unit. Small but livable. THE BEDROOM LEADS TO THE PORCH that overlooks the main street. Sand was EVERYWHERE. (I had not hit the beach yet) THE POOL they advertise is across the street at another motel. Maybe there was an ice machine across the street? Finally, the fact that the windows are probably all painted shut gave me some sense of comfort that there are NO LOCKS ON ANY WINDOWS. A very small barrel bolt on the door to the porch, and the entrance door had a deadbolt and a chain latch. There was also about 2 inch space between the bottom of the door and the threshold. It could have been much cleaner, safer feeling, and could use some updates. It was a good size for ONE PERSON or a close couple. I had booked it for myself and my 2 adult children.

It had a designated parking spot. It was nicely decorated and the main room was bright. My primary problem with the property was the bed, which was sort of shaped like a bowl. It had a big indentation in the middle, so sleeping on it made you kind of roll into the middle, and hurt your back. It is obviously an old mattress that needs replacing. The bathroom was a little sketchy. The sink cabinet was extremely beat up and the shower was dark and kind of dirty looking. (It might have been clean but there was no way to tell.) The wall was only partially painted, which was kind of odd. The bathroom needs a little more work to make you feel comfortable using it.

Everyone was so nice. It was very cozy! No complaints!

This place is a dump broken window stains on the rug ac didn’t work bed bugs this place was nasty the cabins where falling apart I don’t recommend any one to stay here

The room we stayed in was cute, but very tight on space. Primarily picked for the 2 bathrooms. The beds were TERRIBLE! so old and uncomfortable. The pool was very small with lots of overgrowth of weeds and it was across the street from our room.

I really like the location that it was at because it was right near the water in the beaches. It was very close proximity to walk everywhere which says what grabbed my attention a lot and I really liked it for that The one thing that I did not enjoy about the property was that the fact that nothing was clean in the room you could clearly tell the bed sheets were not washed from the previous customers that were there there was stains all over the sheets and the mats and the pillowcases nothing was cleaned in there. The room had a very distinct old person sent like someone had decayed in their almost and the room was not properly cleaned, and there was no blow dryer provided either.
