Pine Hills Hotel Miyakojima

Everything was perfectly smooth and convenient; we had pre organised an airport shuttle and hire car through the hotel in advance and it was like clockwork. The hire car was good quality, the room was good (including free laundry machine) On our departure day we were concerned a shuttle leaving at 8am would be too late for our 8.55am flight... In fact we were still ready to board 20 minutes early! They also have rentals for equipment that are competitively priced vs. other locations ,

Staff were helpful and friendly

All rental car work can be handled in the same place. The room had musty smell, some sort of damp odor. We were offered a room change but also told that all rooms have this smell. We stayed the same hotel, same room last year. It did not have this problem.

Nice little airport hotel. Although it is not located near a beach or tourist area, it is located near the airport which makes it very convenient if you rent a car. The room is super spacious compared with all the places we stayed around Japan. It is equipped with a small kitchen, which was very convenient to prepare our own meals, washing machine. It has a car rental attached, but we didn't rent there so can't recommend it. We enjoyed our stay Staff doesn't speak English so it is a little bit difficult to communicate which made the check in a bit complicated

Clean, modern place. Since I booked on short notice, they could not provide the airport shuttle. That was a bit of a turn-off, since it is not stated anywhere on booking and I had to pay for a taxi. I booked this place originally because of the included shuttle service.

Clean and well organised apartment with all you need for a comfortable stay. Well situated in the center of the island. They kindly kept our luggage after checkout. It’s more like a motel. You go up the outside stairs directly into your room. Nowhere to shower after the beach. Very close to the main road. The AC had a strange smell.

Excellent staff, they tried to help me all the way. Large and comfortable rooms, properly equipped even for a longer stay. Close to the airport. Car rental on the spot. Free shuttle from and to the airport. Very high standard overall. Only minor things to mention: a little noisy from the street; and no view. Also, automatic lighting is useful in some situations but there should be a way to disable it if desired.

I arrived before check-in time due to an early flight, the staff politely let me use the room an hour earlier than normal. Also a free shuttle to and from the airport. Has all the facilities you would need.

Central location on the island, spacious room, and washing machine available for use in the room. Beach equipment (i.e. snorkel, fins, life vest, beach towels) available for rent. Unable to accommodate for early check in, but was able to store our luggage.

Clean, enough room for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 small children), location, items/supplies were provided for our convenience (ie. kitchen items, detergent). Wish there were a dryer. Would suggest having a paid dryer available for guests.

We completely enjoyed Pine Hills Miyakojima Appartments. From the moment we arrived at MMY Airport and were picked up by the very nice driver to the Check-In, everything was really good. We liked the cleanliness of the room, the quiet surrounding, the friendliness of the staff - so Pine Hills is on top of our list for the next Miyakojima Vacation next year. Also: On Booking.com the Pine Hills is advertised as a 3-star facility - do not let that fool you - the cleanliness, the attention to detail, the convenience of a Japanese-style apartment is easily 4 - 4.5 stars by American or European standards - so it is pretty cool. As always I am always very impressed by the courtesy and amazing service in Japan and Pine Hills especially. The Pine Hills is a strong recommendation from me. We were provided with fresh / clean bedsheets only 2 days before Check-Out. Half-way through the holidays (after 5 days) would have been a bit better. The above is just a minor thing - the Pine Hills Team is amazing. I can only recommend to everyone to go to the Pine Hills - the value for money is extraordinary. It is a strong recommendation from me.

Superb

The flat was new, bright and very big for Japanese standard. The kitchen and toilet ara are basically separate environment and provided with all you need. Internet connection was also good and the building is well insulated so if you close the window nights are quiet even though you are on a big street. The personnel is very nice and always ready to help. They offer a free transfer to and from the airport that is a nice to add. Location is ok bur you need a bike or a car to really go around. They rent bikes but they have just two and they are not very new and in perfect condition.

Good location and allocated parking per room Snorkel set was too expensive to rent (¥2,500) and the life jacket and shoes were too small for the average foreigner (which you don’t find out until after you’ve paid them..)
