    Breakfast ok not exceptional

Almost everything, from the beautiful building itself to the exceptional breakfast and the wonderful staff, was excellent. The beds and pillows (we stayed 2 nights and upgraded to a junior suite the second night) were extremely firm for our American taste and we were both quite uncomfortable. After 2 nights we each had aches and pains in places we don’t normally have them. Also, we gals like a full length mirror and neither room had one. Other than those 2 things, we very much enjoyed our stay.

it's difficult to drive to location, but that is probably something that could not be helped. We passed the hotel, and then had to navigate our way back, negotiating one way streets and pedestrian only roads.

Great location. Easy access to all sites

The bathroom is disproportionately small to the room size.

The location was wonderful. The free breakfast was very nice. I liked that we were able to get a triple room. Instructions for operating the air conditioning were not present and I failed to ask how to use it upon arrival.

    Modest breakfast

Breakfast was the same each day, but it was very good. Orvieto is small and easy to navigate, but if you have luggage- do not be tempted to take the funicular. The hotel is on the opposite side of town- down bumpy Italian streets. Apparently, there are only 3 taxis in town (plus a few private drivers that are more expensive). Going up, the hotel arranged a taxi for about 18 euros. Going down early to catch the 7:30 train to Rome, I paid the private driver 25 euros. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was quiet. I stayed pre-seaon, but the driver told me that summer can get quite busy. Plan ahead with taxi/dining reservations. not a thing

Our room was in good condition and spotless. The bed was in the firm side, but comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and all of the staff were fantastic

Location Very friendly staff Everything was great!

Friendly staff. Large comfortable room. Nicely furnished with very comfortable bed. Very nice comfortable bed. The country western music played in the breakfast room. I didn’t align with our experience of being in Italy. Nothing against country music but it was not the vibe we expected in such a nice hotel.
