Steep slope makes parking for tourist a bit challenging

Hotel Picchio was a great small hotel, very clean and staff were very helpful!

Convenient to the train station. Rooms were clean and in good condition.

Location to the train station. Breakfast. Quiet location. Nothing

There were some minor issues with electrical outlets in our room. They were a bit "finicky". Nothing we couldn't deal with. Also, be aware that the hotel is in the lower town. You will need to take the funicular to get up to the Centro. This is not a problem, per se, and it does come with the benefit of easier access to the train station for arrival and departure.

Exceptionally clean. Very central to both train station and thr funicular.

The hotel is just 5 minutes away from the train station and the funicular. A quiet place where you can have a good rest after a busy day. The hosts are great people - very hospitable, positive and friendly.

Wonderful Breakfast, and friendly staff, helping us practice Italian and talking with other Italians about the culture and home towns.

The garden - the spa facility Needs repairs - upkeep - and our room was just too small - poorly insulated for sound

The staff were very helpful. We had to leave early and they made us sandwiches to eat on the train. Up a long hill

The hotel is located about 200m from the train station as well as the furnicular that connects with the old town. It is also located just 200m from the Bagnoregio bus stop which makes our day trip to Bagnoregio a breeze. There is a kebab place, a pizzeria and a gelateria all within 100m from the hotel which makes it so much easier and affordable. The room itself is also comfortable and the water pressure of the shower is strong. Breakfast was high quality and abundant in variety and it was prepared for us before their official scheduled breakfast time. The only little imperfection is that we had heavy luggage that must be carried up a flight of stairs because there was no elevator.

What a delightful stay! The hotel's aesthetic is simply exceptional. It has a boutique, artsy feel, with quaint decorations everywhere you look. It's clear the owners put great care into the interior design—it truly felt like wandering through a well-curated exhibition. So much character packed into a cozy space!

The breakfast was very much appreciated since everything was at the bottom of the steep hill. The location was an issue for us. I didn't realize nor did it say that it was at the top of a steep hill. We had to walk up with a lot of baggage.

This was located so close to the train station and the funicular! Also it had parking.

The breakfast was good, I don’t eat sweets, bread , there are lots of them. Less carb more fruits

Very quaint and authentic Italian. Staff was very nice. Parking was a bit tight, but it was free and there.

The staff was friendly and kind. The room was large by European standards and had a lovely terrace though we didn't really use it since we were only there one night. Thankfully, the room had a strong working AC which was much needed and well worth the nightly rate. There is also a decent pizza place just down the hill which made for a convenient and simple dinner option when we were too tired to make the trip into the actual old town of Orvieto. The property is located on a steep hill and consists of two separate buildings. We were placed in the secondary building even slightly further up the hill! There is no lift and there are many steps, so if you have any mobility issues this may not be the best place. Overall, the property is older, decor is dated and the fixtures look tired. None of that deterred from a pleasant enough stay for one night and for the price, I wasn't really disappointed.

The proprietor was a very nice and helpful man. We were placed in the annex building, which at first made me a little worried but it turns out it is a wonderful building no more than 20 yards from the primary building. The annex was beautiful with Marble floors and extremely clean. Our room had a small balcony out the front with a gorgeous view in the direction of the city. The breakfast included would seem to be locally sourced products, including baked goods, meats, and egg, among other items to choose from. The location is very close to the central train station. There is a short but moderately steep walk from the main street to the hotel. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 to 80 m. There was really nothing about the hotel that we didn’t like. We did not have a car so parking wasn’t an issue for us. Neither of us have mobility issues, but it could be an issue for someone who is mobility challenged.

The food was good and the young lady was very helpful made our cappuccino, American coffee and very pleasant to talk to.
