i already saw it was a small place, but it was even smaller than expected. not enough room for the 2 futons they provided, the room smelled like mold and dust coming from the air conditioner never come here

I like that its close to the train station 2mins walk from Dobutsuen-mae. Close to Family mart and Donki Shinsekai. There’s free coffee and water on the common area. You can also do the laundry. Very clean. The staff are very helpful and nice. You can leave the luggage after check out Just a misunderstanding on the room but they were able to fix it on the next day.

Clean hotel. Typical Japanese-sized room. Bathrooms are typical too, i.e. high tech which I particularly loved. The bed was comfy enough, The best is that it is right beside a subway station so it is very accessible plus the train going to KIX was just a couple of minutes away. Front Desk allowed for an early check-in when I requested, which was fab. There was only 1 elevator.

The room was super tiny, there wasn't even room to open the bags with the matresses there. You could hear absolutely everything from other rooms or the hallway. My partner and I both ended up showering with cold water.
-
The elevator had a weird smoke smell
-
The room is too small and the facility is minimal.

Quite close to the train station. Both Dobusuen mae station and Shin imamiya station. There was no lamp in the room, which made it quite difficult at night. I’m not sure if the blanket cover was clean, but I got some rashes all over my body, and the staff weren’t very helpful either.

The Japanese style room was worth the price and comfy. The location was worth it, as it was within walking distance of both the metro and the train station. Close to Shinsekai. The showers were all the way on the first floor.

Not much
-
it was close to the metro station. it was very moist and warm downstairs, due to the showers being in the sitting area. it also had a strong smell of tobacco everywhere, which started to give me a headache towards the end of my stay.
-
Location wise, clean, the staff was very kind Room a bit small but its okay
-
Close to train station(s), near many restaurants nearby. They have good amenities including earplug. Onsen at the first floor - though I didn't use it since it's too small. Very small room (smaller than most city-hotel rooms). Toilet male/female literally in the same space with partition divided - you can hear sound and noise!!
-
I didn’t see anywhere online that they were smoking rooms and the cigarette smoke was awful
-
You need to go to the first floor to take a bath, but not that big of a deal
-
The hotel is well located. Shower rooms are located on the first floor and are not enough for the whole hotel. Beds in Japanese style room are uncomfortable.
-
Very clean. Great facilities in common room. Great location to 2 train stations. Very friendly helpful staff. Loved our stay at Hotel Sunplaza 2. Would stay there again if in Osaka again and recommend to friends. Light coming into room as very thin and didn't cover window fully.
-
Good location, subway just around the corner.free drink anytime u want The towel too small, the room still smell with smoke cigarettes.only 1 floor for shower and the lift a bit small
-
Very good

Localisation near to train station. The bathroom is near the lobby and it was quite uncomfortable. In the middle of the night one of the guest was very loud- there was no chance to call the reception because it was closed. The room was very dark. Toilets are coeducational and it's also a uncomfortable, especially for woman.

Hotel Sunplaza 2 is my go-to every time I visit Osaka—I genuinely won’t stay anywhere else. It’s incredibly basic, but the location is unbeatable and the value for money is spot on. I especially appreciate the clean, well-maintained public bath, which I’ve always been able to use without issue despite having tattoos—a real bonus in Japan. The main drawback is the building layout: most floors are only accessible via a single elevator, which can be frustrating. I’d happily take the stairs if the lower floors weren’t all smoking rooms. Even as a smoker, I’d prefer a fully non-smoking hotel with outdoor ashtrays instead. Still, for the price and convenience, it’s hard to beat.
