It was one of the better hostels I've stayed in, relatively. Staff was friendly, facilities were pretty clean, and the location is very close to many of the popular Osaka sights. What you get for the price likely can't be beat fairly easily in the area. Firstly, the futon/mattress was extremely thin. The staff seems to reply to reviews mentioning this arguing against it, but it really is very thin. Definitely not the worst thing in the world, but keep it in mind if you have a poor back or need a bit more cushion when sleeping. It's about the same or slightly worse than other hostels I have stayed at. Secondly, one of the worst parts about shared sleeping like at a hostel or capsule hotel is you are rolling the dice on your roommates and how courteous they are. One thing I wish more of these types of places did was have staff available at all times and an anonymous way to report disruptions in the night. Our last night staying we had some extremely rude and loud roommates, making noise at all hours, even around 2-3AM when I assume they got back from bars/clubbing. Slamming doors, opening their bags with absolutely no care, holding loud, full conversations. When you're left to self-police the "rules" such as quiet hours like that, it's a huge risk to your own safety or of your personal belongings to pick a fight, not to mention causing more of a disturbance for other guests. If you're going to have "quiet hours," you should do more to assist in enforcing them. The types of guests who come to Japan to go clubbing and then wake up 10 other people in their hostel room at 3AM are not the types of guests you should welcome to your establishment, because it really is a nice place. My two cents.

everything is perfect, everyone is so friendly.

I did not expect this hostel to grow on me as much as it did; the bar on the first floor is a prime hangout spot to socialize with other guests and locals alike, staff was very friendly and a blast to spend time with before getting a good night's rest in a very comfortable bed. This place is no doubt at the top of my list of go-to's in Osaka, great value for an attractive price.

Home-like vibes A little noisy from cars n bed a bit hard

A budget hostel. Very basic but did the job as a place to stay. Very small rooms , aircon and fans were on to keep the place cool. The hostel did not feel very secure

This was honestly the worst hostel I’ve stayed at in Japan. • The smell was terrible and really unpleasant from the mom

The room I was in was too hot, I asked others staying there if they thought the same. Everyone agreed the air conditioning system could be a lot better.

The most social I’ve been since I was in Japan solo. I had no issues before, but here we had a good 10-12 people from all different places and we shared drinks at the bar and had a great time! I also did laundry which I needed and though it needed more than 50 minutes for my drying, I was happy to be able to wash my clothes. The pillow we got was also very nice after some of the recent bad ones I’ve had, including Dormy inn’s. The sleeping room was just a little warmer than I like to sleep in, and blows down the center of the dorm room. The hallways were hot and I already soaked today’s shirt while doing my laundry.

The location was quiet but near to public transit The mattresses were very thin, there were no locks on the rooms and only 1 toilet and shower so often had to wait. The outside door had to be manually locked on exiting by pushing a button which often people did not do. The wifi was really bad.

No place to store luggage, uncomfortable beds, not clean facilities

The dorm room was a little warm at night.

The hostel was very social. I loved hanging out in the bar in the evenings to meet travelers! The staff is amazing and so nice, really felt like home. The dorms are so clean and quiet. I 100% recommend. One of the best hostel experience I’ve had during my 4 months traveling :) Nothing, I had a great experience

Blackout curtains around beds were nice. I recommend the ramen place down the street next to the Family Mart and the okonomiyaki place just across the street. I think the airflow in the room was bad because it smelled bad the whole time I stayed, like feet/body odor. I don’t know if this is due to the specific guests who were in my 12 person room but i found myself avoiding being in the room as much as possible. The toilet smelled like urine the whole time as well. Only 1 toilet & 1 shower for 12 people. The lockers are a bit flimsy, and I think in general security could be improved. Keep in mind reception is open only at 6pm, until then you cannot access the lounge, so can only sit in the room. I wish there was a fridge or kitchen for guests. Not really a party hostel per se
