Doutonbori Crystal Hotel IV

Clean rooms, breakfast was nice and location was great. Staff was really nice and we got lucky and were able to checkin earlier. Also, got a great deal by booking it earlier. Could have an earlier breakfast, 7 was a bit late for our plans

Good location it’s clean It wasn’t quite clear to me what their cleaning policy was. I didn’t understand I had to go leave my room key downstairs to get my room cleaned. Breakfast was also a little disappointing so I ended up eating elsewhere during my stay.

Good location very nice service

The location is good if you’re looking to stay in a quieter part of town that’s still in walking distance to Osaka’s main attractions and neighbourhoods. The breakfast is fresh and amazing, complements to the chefs! The staff are mostly friendly but I was met with some resistance when I asked for additional pillows at the front desk. The staff did support the request but for the price, guests should be able to get an extra pillow or two without hesitation.

Overall was ok for the price. Good location, modest breakfast. Small room size not unusual for Japan. Did not find the somewhat stale smell in the reception area particularly pleasant or welcoming especially when just walking in from the fresher air from outside. Possibly due to the reception being right next to the eating area with lingering food smell compounding over time.

The breakfast staff were very friendly. The location was only a few blocks from all the food stalls and shopping action people come to Osaka for. The room was microscopic. The refrigerator had instructions to flip the switch to on, and the light went on but the temperature never got above room temperature, as it was blistering hot outside we would have liked to have some cold drinks in the room. The twin beds were so broken in that we slowly slid out if we faced away from the wall. The bathroom sink and shower came from the same “T” shaped pipe. To turn on the sink you had to either twist and hold the knob for water pressure or turn the knob all the way up to use two hands but it came out like a fire hose. The shower just came out at FULL BLAST. It was so hard we both joked that we felt we had been assaulted.

Location was great and conveniently located close to Dotonbori and train station. Room was clean and included breakfast was good. A couple extra pillows and little more space in the room would be nice.

Hotel is clean and staff very kind the bath towel feels a bit hard and rough

I liked the breakfast buffet it has a wide variety of food, the room was clean and cozy.

I really enjoyed the location! It was on a quiet and vibrant side street, and walking distance to the wonderful shopping area. Subway station also close buy. The hotel room had newer carpet. The interior could be updated to something more vibrant. Room can comfortably accommodate two people Super value hotel. They offer free coffee and tea, which was nice in the evenings after a long day of sight seeing. I would stay here again! Excellent customer service and amenities provided. I was happy with my stay!

I love their breakfast. With a taste of Japan, you can enjoy the food like no other hotels can provide. The room is a little bit small but understandable given the housing sizes in Japan.
