Ideally a "western-sized" table (a bit higher) in the bedroom to place your wallet, phone etc; and overall more plugs Otherwise an excellent hotel

we got lost because the hotel address seems to match another random location an hour away from the actual hotel. even when we got to the right area, we were still very lost since the address was not accurately taking us to the hotel until we googled the name hotel yu shu, instead of putting in the address. staff was trying their best to be helpful but this was still very frustrating for us.

Great traditional Japanese room - clean and comfortable. Location is perfect, close to the sights and to several metro stations. Check-in was smooth and the staff even kindly moved our bags that we dropped off early to the room once it was ready for the check-in. Would defo love to return!

Japanese style rooms. Cleanliness. We booked the room because there was a kitchenette in it however, there were no pots or pans or cooking plates or utensils. I felt that it was false advertising to not have any basic cookware.

I am fairly disappointed. It is nothing like the traditional Japanese Inn I stayed last time and would like to experience with my son. Almost everything. And the room smelled pretty bad, the air condition was so loud I could not sleep.

Located in a very lively part of Osaka, you’re well placed to enjoy the city. The room rented smelled of smoke, even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The windows look out onto walls or air shafts. So no view or light per se. Nonetheless reasonable for the price and location.

Amazing location in a quite neighborhood

The room was really large, with a separate bathroom, separate toilet and a small kitchen. The location was also fantastic, you are in Dotonbori district within 5 to 10 minutes of walking. There is a kitchen with a stove, but there are no pans, plates, cutlery etc. The only contact that we had with the staff was during checking in, since the check-in counter was in another building than the hotel rooms. The staff seemed less friendly than we experienced in other hotels during our stay in Japan.

Location was excellent, staff very helpful, the room spacious and the futon was comfortable.

It was lovely to stay in a traditional Japanese style room. There was a lot more space than in other places I had been and I appreciated having a separate toilet. The bedroom itself was nice and cosy. It is walking distance (15-20 mins) to a few different train stations and the garish bright lights of the Dotonbori area. The areas outside the bedroom didn't seem to have central heating so it was a bit chilly. No views from the room at all and I wasn't too keen on the trashy area of Dotonbori nearby, far too many tourists! Shame there is no communal area to hang out, was a bit isolating.
