Walking distance to a lot of places, haves all you need near! That was good! I prefer to have private bathroom 24 hours. Few other guest made noises at night time. Sometimes smelly bathroom. No soap on sinks to wash hands.
-
The facilities are straightforward, and the staff was very enthusiastic. It would have been great if the public bath was open until midnight.
-
The staff was especially helpful! Even though there were some language barriers, they were extremely eager to understand and help. Plus the room was clean and comfortable.
-
There was never soap in the bathrooms. The WiFi was unstable. There is a strong smell in the room, I’m not sure if it’s mold.

The room was very nice. I knew the area and deliberately booked there. Some people might say that the area is a bit run down and it does have homeless people yes, but it has a great local food and bar scene and it is perfectly safe any time of the day and night. Best place to stay for budget travelers in Osaka. The toilets on our floor could be a bit smelly at times, but the showers were always clean.

Friendly staff. Clean. Safe. Economic. The location was not fabulous - but it’s close enough to the train that it’s not a big deal. I never felt unsafe.

Cheap, clean and convenient. This was the cheapest hotel I stayed at and the best value. I ended up coming back. Nothing really - I ended up staying again

I was very happy there. Very quiet. Futon bed is thicker than most; microbead pillow. Able to leave bags before and after checkout (note reception hours). Absolutely no smell of cigarette smoke. The area is kind of the cheap hotel district in Osaka. Very near Shinsekai food district, and fantastic transit connections. Tamade supermarket nearby (cheap!). Each room has AC and a fridge. AC isn't very cold, but acceptable. There's a common room with a table, microwave and hot water. There's a sento for men open 4-9pm daily, and showers open until 11pm. Would 100% stay here again.
-
Some people closed their doors very loudly in the evening and in the morning. It's not a hotel fault though...

Nothing

The futons were comfortable The coed bathrooms and that a majority of residents were the opposite gender (wished this was talked about a bit more in the description) it was also hard to find a common space in the evening to take calls and such

room reeked of smoke

nice staff (an elderly couple & their son i think) that let me check in earlier than their check in time when i wanted to store my luggage before the check in!! room is cosy ryokan style! there was also enough space to open up my luggage. near to shin-imamiya bedsheet had some stain located in the most dangerous ward in osaka, can be scary, but based on my own experience i was fine as a female solo traveller alone at night

The place is quite furnished, basic needs are provided. The manager at the counter was very kind to inform me of all the things I needed to know. The shower room is great, neat and simple. The toilet is a little cramped. Other than that I think most of the utilities and facilities are good. Would be great if there are some recyclable utensils or plates for food that are heated up using the microwave.

Good location, but you get what you pay for, don’t expect anything too good Place smells of smoke even in the non-smoking room, bed sheets had stains
-
Very nice and helpful staff, the hotel is next to a metro station and some major sightseeing places (a few minutes away from Abeno Harukas, Tsutenkaku and the shopping area. The room is nice and clean. The shower is only on the first floor, common area in front of it. The bed was ok but the pillow not comfortable at all. Only two toilets on the floor.. Even though I asked (and got) a non-smoking room in a non-smoking floor, it still smells cigarettes, even in the room.
-
Heavy smoke cigarettes smell from outside in the room. It wasn't possible to get rid of it. And it bothered me

We had a great stay at Hotel Beaver. Considering the price the room was much better than expected. The place was clean and convenient. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We found the location convenient, only a few stops on the train from Dotombori and other places to visit.
