There's grocery store nearby and about a 12 minute walk to the subway station. There's a fully functional kitchen so you can cook. Oh and cant forget about the dog. She's so friendly and calm. The room is usually warm and they dont turn down the ac to colder setting. There's not enough space for everyone to store their luggage and so it gets pretty cluttered and disorganized. Not enough hangers for everyone. The restroom inside my dorm had a lingering pee smell. The "mop" they use with a wet wipes attached is not enough to sanitize and clean the area.

Arrived early and was able to leave my luggage there until check in. They messaged me reminders day of to check in before reception closed. Check in was quick and easy. Stayed in the female dorm. The bed was quite comfy. I slept great! Each bed has a curtain, small lamp, and outlets. Room is quite spacious. In the room were 2 sinks, a toilet, and shower. I didn't usually use the shower in the room (noise) and instead used the one on the first floor. Shower stocked with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. People working there were nice. Other guests were nice. Saw on the calendar that there are takoyaki nights every Saturday but I did also miss this. No issues with wifi. Saw a dog napping once so that's cool. Small kitchen is well stocked with anything you should need. There were 2 kotatsus upstairs that seemed like a nice place to relax. Unfortunately never found myself in the hostel long enough to do so. Location was on a quiet side street. Easy to walk to a station. Very close to plenty of grocery and convenience stores. Convenient laundry next door. Was about 200 yen for a wash and 100 yen per 12 minutes of drying if I recall correctly. I stayed on the second floor but there was also a 3rd. It was OK for me. But for anyone opposed to stairs or with heavy luggage, that's just something to note. Towels are not included so if you need one you would need to rent. I prefer when they are included but the fee isn't bad. And in this case I did have my own.

    Very clean Nil

Provided rooms for social interactions, 24/7 showering options, towel rental, cute Shiba dog, several restrooms on every floor, staff was friendly and open for some chatting The only shower available all the times was on the first floor, so you had to go all the way down to take a shower during the rest period (which starts quite late at 23:30 though)

It’s not really the guesthouse itself, but more the people I’m sharing the room with. The doors are pretty heavy, so when they don’t close them properly, they tend to make a sound which can be a bit tough if you’re a light sleeper.

Great location, quiet area but near the metro. The dog was super cute, and I liked that I got to meet a lot of fellow travelers.

Would Not Recommend I traveled solo in Japan for over three weeks in Nov/Dec and stayed in 7 different hostels/guest houses across Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. I enjoyed all of them except this one, so it stood out as the only disappointment, and I’m honestly not sure how it received an 8+ rating on Booking. ---Facilities & Cleanliness The facilities feel older, and the overall cleanliness is noticeably below the standard I experienced at other hostels in Japan. The atmosphere reminded me more of Southeast Asian–style hostels/guesthouses than the very clean, well-maintained Japan hostels I stayed in during this same trip. There was also a noticeable, not-so-pleasant smell when I first walked in—this was the only hostel on my trip where that happened. The slippers didn’t feel clean. The bunk bed was shaky and squeaky, and the curtains only covered the longer sides of the bed in two separate pieces, so light leaked in from the top, sides, and between the panels. Privacy and darkness were both affected. For the shorter sides of the bed, there were only black cardboard pieces that weren’t fixed securely. The room was also cold—indoors didn’t feel much warmer than outdoors, and I had trouble sleeping because of it. ---Staff Check-in is required before 9 PM, which is earlier than most places I stayed. There’s also no check-out process because reception is only open from 9 AM to 9 PM—this is clearly stated on the information sheet given at check-in. ---Noise Even though it’s not next to a main road, I could clearly hear engine sounds late at night (around 11 PM–2 AM), along with guests talking and possibly playing games in the Level 1 common area. A dog was also barking around 8–9 AM. ---Location About an 8–15 minute walk to the nearest train stations. ---Value for Money Not great compared to other options. If you’re mainly looking for a social environment, don’t mind some noise, and aren’t particular about having typical Japan-style cleanliness and quietness, this place might still work for you. But there are definitely better-value hostels available.

This was a wonderful place to stay at because the staff here was really nice and helpful. There a station about 5 min away and close to a Lawson so it was really convenient. The bed was really clean and organize, so it was easy to find. There no much down side to this place but the biggest one would possible be the space for luggage there not really a spot to call your own, kind of put with everyone else and trust. Also at the time was there a couple of the rest room was closed but it didnt really cause a problem but could.

    1. Osaka Metro and supermarket are in walkable distance. 2. Cookware is well equipped. 3. The staff here really give guests their space, but they are always happy to help when needed. 4. The restrooms and shower rooms are very clean and dry. 1. You can hear a lot of noise from the road outside. 2. Although there's a notice against using hairdryers late at night, not many guests follow the rule. The noise was loud enough to wake me up even with earplugs. 3. The tables and chairs in the common area are often left with food crumbs and greasy stains.

Host offered to help with instructions to self check in when I requested, really appreciate the help. Not sure whether the room to the girls dorm was equipped with a lock but I feel that it’s better if there is a passcode lock for girls dorm for safety sake

I had such a great experience! The location is super convenient — it’s close to train stations and right by several convenience stores, which made getting around and grabbing essentials really easy. I also met up with some people who were staying there, and it was such a nice, friendly atmosphere. One of the highlights was the takoyaki party — fun, delicious, and a great way to meet other travelers. Overall, it’s a clean, welcoming hostel with a warm community vibe. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Osaka!

Reception was nice, there were plenty of amenities Some people were being noisy after 11pm in the dormitory room.

  • Engine customer Aug 2025

The staff were excellent and helped me out after the rain delayed my train. I know this was a little extra work for them, but I appreciate their hard work. The facility is an affordable and convenient guest house, with a nice shower and wash area. The bed curtains provide good privacy. It was close to the subway. It may help to mark which bed gets which part of the shelf. Some guests were kind of chaotic and don't leave space for others. But it worked out so it's not a big deal.

  • Engine customer Jun 2025

The facility was clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were also helpful and friendly. It's also near the station and combini.

  • Engine customer May 2025

The room is clean, the bed is comfortable. Friendly staff. The location is good. There’s a good yakitori restaurant nearby. I just don’t like the room’s air like you will really appreciate the air when you go outside. Wish there were air purifier in the dormitory room.
