I booked the hotel because of its access to ammenities (pool, sauna etc.). I did not know that I had to pay extra for these services. I would not have booked the hotel had this information been relayed to me in advance. I won’t stay here again.

The rooms at Hotel New Otani Osaka were spotlessly clean and comfortably spacious, making our stay very relaxing after long days exploring the city. The staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful, always greeting us with warm smiles and providing prompt assistance whenever needed. Its excellent location is just a short walk from the metro station and conveniently close to Osaka Castle, perfect for easy sightseeing and commuting. N/A

The location is good , its close to The Osaka Castle and a lovely park.There are two metro stations near. Our rooms view of Osaka Castle was amazing,day and night. There’s a Lawson right across the hotel. It was a largeeee room, we were able to open our 4 large sized luggages side by side easily. if you want to go to the popular/touristy spots etc. its a little far from the hotel. It usually tooks 30-40 mins by metro to arrive to those places. A bit outdated furniture.

The Hotel felt very upscale. It had a grand lobby. There were many upscale restaurants in the building and also shops at the basement level. The rooms were quite large, comparable to a US hotel. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. They took our luggage to our rooms upon checkin. We didn't see many tourists during our 3 night stay though. It seems like a place for business travelers. The onsite breakfast was good, it had two buffet sections, one western and one Japanese. I think we paid $30 USD for an adult. The location was good, Osaka castle is nearby and there were plenty of restaurants on the other side of the river including a Starbucks. We made good use of our JR west all area pass since the train stop is on the loop line run by JR. The beds were hard as rock. I don't know how they call themselves a 5 star hotel with those uncomfortable beds. We had 2 rooms so it's not like we were the unlucky ones to get a room with that type of bed. Also there was no onsite laundry facility which is unfortunate. We had to walk 15 mins to the closest laundry facility.

For me the location was perfect. Across from a beautiful park and the Osaka castle. The room was quiet, large and very clean with a nice view. I wish there was an affordable restaurant or cafe in the hotel.

The people The hotel has been there long for a reason. Exceptional hospitality Access from the station was hard with heavy suitcases. I should have taken a taxi instead.

Rooms are a little bit dated. The location doesn’t have many restaurants nearby, it’s located in a business park, so if you want more food options or more to do, this may not be the place.
