Clarion Hotel & Suites Riverfront

The property was in a great location to shops, restaurants and the Oswego River. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. The price for my 3 night stay was very reasonable. The room had great views of the river and was spacious. The included breakfast was good with many options. The shower head was very low. It was at about chin height for me at 6’. The room could have been a little more updated and more care taken in vacuuming the floor.

Clarion, Oswego was 10 minutes away by car from SUNY. Very convenient if needing a hotel whilst moving in your student to SUNY. The standard continental hotel breakfast was nicely presented, plentiful and tasted good. The hotel is centrally located for walking to several nearby restaurants and landmarks. GS Steamers restaurant is inside the hotel which is super convenient. The menu has a variety of delicious food and you can sit on the balcony in good weather and enjoy the river and sunset. They have daily specials as well as trivia nights and evenings with live music. There is a laundromat a short walk two blocks away with great facilities. Our hotel room was clean and spacious and everything was in good working order (we were on the 5th floor with a lovely view towards the mouth of the river). The bed was very comfortable and there was good water pressure in the shower. Room came with a mini fridge. Front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. Genuinely nice people to converse with every day. Check in/check out process was easy. Would have felt more secure to have an in-room safe and a small microwave for convenience.

The breakfast was wonderful. Love the biscuits and gravy as well as the option for the lemon waffles! The local restaurants were fantastic and the walkability of everything was amazing. The bar staff in the restaurant were great too. Love that it is right on the river too.

It was a great stay and staff was great

Our room was on the lowest level. It had access to the outdoor via private door. The room itself was poorly clean. I tried to plug in my phone charger behind the nightstand and got a hand full of cobwebs. The room looked like it hasn't been occupied since 1970s. Musty air and mold on some furniture. Possible due to closeness to the river

Clean room, yummy breakfast and dinner was delightful! Best parts were the breakfast attendants!! They are always friendly, attentive and great ambassadors to not only the hotel but the town of Oswego!

The hotel was perfect. Clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. What really sent it over the top for us was the waterfront restaurant. The view was lovely and the food was fantastic. Everyone was raving! I have food allergies, and you have a section dedicated to gluten-free and vegan options. I enjoyed a stellar vegan pizza that I will have dreams about. After a long drive, a delicious meal with a view over the river was exactly what I needed. Thank you!
