Best Western The Inn & Suites Pacific Grove

Absolutely love this place

Or so we thought. The next day we were ready to check in again at the Best Western when we got a call from the Jasmine that our reservation had once again been canceled (by whom we do not know) and our room had once again been given to someone else and we were to call Expedia again to find another room Again after an hour and a half on the phone Expedia found us another room. Not as nice as the first place they found us, but okay. Our belief is that we booked back in October 2025, at a normal rate ($200/night), but the the owners of Best Western realized that rooms during Monterey Car Week were going for $600+ a night, and cancelled our reservation, to make the higher rate… twice in 2 days!

Good location but the property is dated and needs remodeling. Also was charged 3x the normal rate due to car week and even Sunday night our last night there they were booking rooms for $239 a night but wouldn’t do anything for me at the rate I paid of $728 a night…

One of the best places that I’ve ever stayed at. Very clean, convenient and comfortable.

Clean room and very large. Bathroom was huge! Staff was helpful and quick for a late check in.

Peaceful Bed was lumpy

Quiet, in the midst of crazy, touristy, Carmel/Monterey. Def a two star but humble and efficient. Fireplace a nice touch. Pacific Grove is a little oasis in the midst of the chaos.

Loved the proximity to Asilomar Beach. There was nothing other than coffee that I could partake during breakfast being lactose and wheat intolerant.

Quiet

If you are a senior staying there, it is very dark inside at night and there are steps going from the bedroom to the kitchen and bathroom with no lighting. It could be a hazard if you are not careful at night. The electric fireplace was a nice ambiance.

Very expensive and the property is in very bad condition, the furniture it’s very damage .

So so experience. Very loud bathroom fan that you couldn’t shut off without turning off the light. We were given a room that the bed was not made up.

Don’t know how this place can call itself a hotel. Looks like an old apartment building. No refrigerator in room to keep meds in. Furniture beat up, I’ve seen better at garage sales. Sliding door and screen left open when ai checked into the room. Very dirty…
