Rosedale Inn

Such a quiet area. Bathroom can use an update but such a cute, quiet spacious room. Will stay again.

I am incredibly disappointed by our experience at the Rosedale Inn. We arrived with a confirmed reservation, as well as a separately confirmed early check-in. Despite having all of our guarantees in place, the front desk informed us upon arrival that they had no room available for us. There was an event going pn in town and I’m pretty sure they decided to overbook our room for a higher price. While overbooking is an inconvenience, the staff's reaction made the situation significantly worse. When we asked for assistance or a solution to the problem they created, the staff actually laughed at us and flat-out refused to help. Leaving guests stranded is bad enough, but mocking them when they ask for help is entirely unprofessional. I highly recommend booking elsewhere.

Clean but old and dated. Run down interior. Carpet was clean but had chunks missing. Fan was so bad we thought it might come off the ceiling. Faucets all loose toilet seat was all over the place and pretty haggard! We were there for car week and payed double the normal rate so that on us. Would not stay there again.

Unfortunately my card was charged at the time of booking through Hotel.com and I was not notified. The wallpaper was peeling off and the heater didn't work very well. Overall very nice!

Clean large rooms. Near to wedding venue and.the ocean. Loved the fireplace. Lots of parking.

The bathtub jets did work in my room. The sink was and tile looked nice. The TV, microwave and mini fridge worked. The bed sheets and towels were clean. I can't recommend the Rosedale Inn due to it's worn down state, and the rental amount isn't worth what you get.

Clean big room. Nice place to stay

The Rosedale Inn was super conveniently located, a few minutes from Asilomar Beach and a car ride away from Old Monterey. The room was big and comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay there.

Admitted to us by the desk clerk, we had the worst room on the property old, peeling wall paper, toilet handle that came off,tv remote that had problems-not quite as advertised.

chairs and little table to have a chat, drink. Plates, spoons, fork in room. extra blanket, pillow. coffee pot did not work, Switch for fireplace did not turn it on. MANY small but noticeable signs of wear and tear not addressed - cuts in wallpaper, poorly patched plumbing repairs, Screens a bit ripped so you could open windows for air flow.

The only good thing I can say is that it is a great location. It's very run down. Wallpaper pealing off the walls. Hole in the bathroom door. Blue tape holding up a section of the baseboard in the bathroom. Very uncomfortable mattress. Dirty (stained) furniture. Coffee pot leaked all over counter and did not work besides the leak.

Secluded, quiet, front desk guy was super nice. Will stay again.

I liked how close it was to the ocean…. That is all! I did not like how expensive it was for a room with peeling walls, cracked dirty walls, roaches, no heat or AC, windows with holes in the screens. The room was clean but felt dirty. I did not get a bottom barrel room but I have seen nice motel 6s.

Very clean and great location. Staff was very nice, room was a great size room. I would like continental breakfast! This location did offer before covide. At least maybe just coffee in the office for guests.

Quick checking/out! Had king ste w/electric fireplace (500sq.ft).Huge 2 rooms!! The most comfy bed /4 pillows! Had jetted tub-so nice! Little kitchen (maybe 15 ft )area-refrig/microwave/coffee maker. But huge separate w/electric fireplace (not much heat) desk & chair & another Tv in room-(husband could watch soccer! Close walk 2 trail 2 Asilomar Beach! Saw deer walking on wooded area road close 2 hotel! No breakfast-but close 2 Victorian Corner Cafe- great cute little cafe-great food! W/6 outdoor tables! Would stay again!!

Excellent value, location

We loved the location . The hotel is older and dated but super clean! The staff were actively working towards improving the property.
