For 2 star motel it was terrible over priced at over $800 per night.

Great stay.

My room was in the old Victorian house. There was a very noxious odor in the room - cleaning solvent or carpet cleaner - it was so strong I wasn’t sure I could stay. The room had old victorian windows with no screens and one window would not stay open. Unfortunately, this was not a pleasant stay and I cannot recommend. Based on the good reviews, I can only assume the rooms in the rest of the motel (not in the old house) were much nicer.

Exceptional

This was a spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom room and was by far our favorite. Beautiful skylights in both bathrooms that let in lots of natural light. The front bedroom has a cozy fireplace. The primary bathroom has a separate vanity/sink area from the toilet and tub/shower room. The second bathroom has a walk-in stall shower. The windows appear to be newer, open easily, and have screens. Overall, this room felt comfortable, well maintained, and updated. Room 30 – Average ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ This is a single-room accommodation in the Victorian house at the rear of the property. One bathroom with the sink/shower area separated from the toilet/tub by a half wall. It wasn't nearly as nice as Room 18. There was a slight "old house" odor—not overwhelming, but noticeable. The windows do not open and do not have screens. Overall Property The property made a very good impression overall. Clean rooms and fresh, comfortable linens. General cleanliness was excellent. Maintenance was good (I'd rate it about 8.5/10—mostly minor paint touch-ups and cosmetic items). Parking directly outside the room was a huge convenience. Ice machine was nearby and worked well. The pool is conveniently located across from the rooms. The grounds are attractive and well kept. Every front desk employee we encountered was friendly and welcoming. I'd gladly stay here again—I'd just request Room 18 (or something similar) next time.

Classic Little old but nice

Property is a little dated but very clean and very quiet. Beds are comfortable and rooms are spacious. Very convenient to beaches, food, hiking etc. Parking was difficult though.

Comfortable beds, and reasonably clean. Room 28 building carpet smells awful. Carpet needs to be replaced. Inside the rooms the carpet are newer and do not smell. The smell from the exterior carpets wafts into the rooms.

Exceptional

We had a large, clean spacious room with fireplace and an overhead fan. The bed was comfortable but a little too soft for my back issues. Other people might think differently. The location was very close to downtown but at the same time it was very quiet. The pool was located a distance from our room so the noise was not bothersome.

great price and beautiful location

For improvement, I would recommend that management ensures that the rooms are well stacked with clean towels. I found that only two sets of towels were in my view in adequate. And that to make sure that all the functions are working within the room. Our fireplace was not working at all except for the fan. But I do say on the plus side it was a very quiet neighborhood. My granddaughter loved the pool and the hot tub. And it was central to lovers point Beach and to the Monterey Bay aquarium.

Nice inn, clean and simple it has a hot tub and outdoor pool. Simple nut well suited to our needs. Nothing

NA They had coffee in the lobby, but it’s always nice to have coffee maker available in the rooms.

Parking is a little tight but right next to the room which was very nice.

Beautiful area, great for little kids to walk to the park or walk around the butterfly grove.
