Very clean, nice breakfast, reception representatives were very nice and helpful. We had to ask for housekeeping to iron our clothes which was an additional expense we didn’t plan for.
-
Location, terrific pool, sculpture garden, wonderful breakfast, well-trained staff, cheap Uber travel to nearby destinations Dinner in the dining room took forever, and the servings were very small

Room was spacious. The hotel was not accommodating nor attentive. We had to request toilet paper and towels on a regular basis. Getting a drink pool side was a project. While I requested an early check-in 6 months in advance given we came from U.S., this did not happen. In addition, after staying 8 nights, we were never treated well by staff.

A beautiful boutique hotel that used to be an old palace. Fantastic restaurant and beautiful grounds. Indoor and outdoor pools are very nice. About a dozen restaurants right next door to walk to

The location was great. The staff was very nice. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or services. The amenities were nice as well, always a little gift in the room. The room was a little dark and felt old. There were ants in the bathroom (they didn't bother us but there were quite a lot. The shower was a little small. On the first morning, we were given gluten-free bread but it was microwaved so it was very chewy. On the second day, I asked if the bread could be baked instead. There must have been a miscommunication because it was also microwaved and chewy.

Location, very nice facility, staff was excellent. Room service food was terrible. Cold French fries. And I’ve had better sandwiches out of a vending machine.

Breakfast was good and staff at breakfast were great. Check in was a poor experience. We were only allowed to get into our room two hours after check in opened. I understand delays, but two hours is ridiculous. Management clearly didn’t prioritize cleaning rooms of people checking in. Having a full hotel is no excuse as only a handful of families were checking in at the same time as us. I had also contacted the hotel on this platform about checking in on time. They never responded. I believe things could have been managed a little better. Parking was first come first serve and not guaranteed.

Location, breakfast, staff and vibe. Nothing!

Excellent Hotel in a very good location with about 20 restaurants within 15 mins walk. The old palace is very presentable. And their own chapel! Honestly - 5 star hotel should have a bit more of an upscale feel and look. Also, everything inside feels a bit dated.

Wonderful place, beautiful property, stunning gardens and surroundings. The staff was professional and lovely. Easy access to the beach, the village and Lisbon is a quick train ride away.

This is a beautiful and comfortable hotel, in a cute town that has tons of restaurants, cafes and beaches. The breakfast and dinner were amazing. The staff is super friendly. We had fun in the pool and our daughter loved the playground! I would love to stay there again in the future! The AC was not very good. And the rooms are very far from reception and elevator (only one was working), so we needed to walk a long distance to get to the lower floors and reception/restaurant. It is ok, just something to consider when having many kids or carrying multiple things.

The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent Our room was far away from the entrance which made it very inconvenient to access it. They had some construction going on which added to the inconvenience
-
The hotel is lovely. Great breakfast, nice view and good location. They were doing construction on the hotel during our stay so the noise was very loud.
-
Nice location and grounds but a little to close to the busy road Excessive noise and construction happening everywhere you look and no forewarning also you have to pay in advance which was so tacky .
-
Separate night light for bathroom. Higher quality hair dryer.
-
No iron table provided. Great location and breakfast
-
+good location +good breakfast, was very nice sitting outside +room was very spacious -we were not made aware that we had to wear a swimming cap in the indoor pool so we were forced to buy one. Would be nice if this was informed in advance

They have a very nice breakfast buffet with cook to order eggs & pancakes. Check-in was excellent & someone walked us to our room. Being on the waterfront it has lovely ocean views. There is a parking garage which is secured at night. Outside building maintenance interfered with our peaceful enjoyment sitting on the balcony. The hotel wasn't very full and they could have put us in a room away from this. The mattress is very firm, almost too firm for me to get a good nights sleep. The separate shower is nice but the controls are placed where one will elbow it constantly - it also ran a little hot/cold during a shower.

I had a short single night stay so I didn't experience the whole facilities but from what I saw it lacks in maintenance and renovation. I could forgive parts of it if this was a 4 star hotel but it is 5 stars and not very cheap so it must have higher standards than this. For instance our sliding bathroom door didn't slide that well, you had to muscle it open. Noise isolation was poor. Decoration feels outdated. The staff was nice, not much to say.

The rooms are very comfortable and view breathtaking. The staff are amazing, very accommodating and friendly. I enjoy almost everything but was a bit disappointed with the restaurant, I was expecting more.
