One guy from the reception even came to give us food for breakfast cause he knew we are waking up early tomorrow for a safari and will skip the breakfast so he was really thoughtful to give us breakfast the evening before so we can take it us the day after. That was amazing attitude! The hotel is extremely clean. The cleaning ladies do their job extraordinary well. There is a guard all the time on both entrances of the hotel. The food at Hello Capitano is sooo delicious! 10 out of 10. Amazing fish, smoothie bowls and everything else. Nothing! Everything was exceptional!

Amazing location, the staff were amazing and always there to help. The beds could be more comfortable.

Nice pool, private area not so loud. Lovely breakfast, friendly staff. Comfortable bed! Great overall, although they don’t lower prices for guests of hotel for kite surfing, nor do they have different prices of residents of Tanzania. 412$ for 6 hours of kite for a resident is very expensive. I was expecting a lower price; it was too bad as I was keen to try.

Casa Ananda is just amazing! Super relaxing, all the staff is so nice and available to help, we loved it!

Loved everything! Nothing!

Beautiful place with very comfortable rooms and great attention to customer service. There is right amount of privacy to really relax but it’s closed to all activities in Paje. One step into the sea. Amazing service at the restaurant Hello Capitano as well. We totally recommend Casa Ananda!

I couldn't fault the place, and attached was captain Zanzibar restaurant which I ate a good few meals at, all delicious and staff fantastic. 1000% would stay with them again. Nothing - everything perfect

I had a very pleasant stay at Casa Ananda Boutique Hotel. I would like to sincerely thank the hotel manager, who was extremely kind, understanding, and professional. Her attitude really reflects true hospitality. Special thanks as well to Shedrack Edward at the reception very dedicated, helpful, and genuinely caring. His support and service were highly appreciated. I also want to mention Abu Ahmad, the Lebanese manager of the surfing club nearby a truly warm and kind person who treated me like a brother and made the experience even more enjoyable. And a big thank you to the taxi driver who made my rides comfortable, fast, and fun by playing Lebanese music such a nice personal touch! ? Friendly advice for travelers: I personally recommend using taxis instead of renting a car. The roads can be challenging, and I experienced some car troubles and battery issues. Taxis are easier, safer, and stress free. Overall, a peaceful place with kind people and a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you all for the hospitality I truly appreciate it.

Ohhh the staffing team was amazing! I was confused at first before the explation since there two hotel side to side. Initially i was thinking that i booked at the hotel in the beach front but it was different. After clarification and asking to offer the Ananda hotel next day, i was so pleased with that consideration. Even though the next morning, i found Casa Ananda was best choice for me to day. Very quiet and less crowded. You will still have access to Ananda Hotel and enjoy everything. You need to pay attention when you book on these two hotel. Don't get confused between Casa Ananda and another Ananda Beach. I don't think that there is better way of explaining till your right there.

Gorgeous gorgeous rooms with an even better pool. Out of four stays in Zanzibar this was our favorite. It checked off everything; great location, clean, nice restaurant, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Hot water a little finicky

The privacy and the supporting staff was topnotch . Clean environment we felt like home far from home ❤️❤️?

Great little place and the restaurant was very good… we appreciated staying in the casa area with a private pool only for Casa guests and no children. The staff were wonderful and so helpful! Not a lot to do in Paje but beach is beautiful. When the tide is out, you can’t swim as it’s very far out! The people selling things on the beach are friendly but pretty irritating but you just have to keep saying no!

Great location, the restaurant was great. Loved sitting by the pool in the evenings.

The receptionist helped us book a tour to Mnemba Island, which turned out to be a wonderful experience. The only downside was that the WiFi didn’t work well in the rooms. We only mentioned it to the manager at checkout, and it felt like they took our feedback seriously. On the positive side, the WiFi in the restaurant worked well, so it was manageable.

Unfortunately, our last day was overshadowed by an unpleasant experience with some racist individuals who clearly did not appreciate sharing the same space with us. While this was not the fault of the hotel itself, it did leave us with a very negative final impression of our trip. The hotel staff and facilities were wonderful, but I hope management can do more in the future to ensure that all guests feel safe, respected, and welcomed.

The staff were amazing and very friendly and the place was really comfortable That the janitors come in the morning and have to clean the room, i just wish there was a no disturbance sign

Absolutely everything. Staff was very attentive and all people very kind and helpful. Was our honeymoon and they prepared a surprise. Room even had an afternoon quick cleaning for changing towels and stuff. I have nothing to complain about. My stay was perfect.

Title: Beautiful Aesthetic and Peaceful Stay – Would Definitely Return I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in Zanzibar. The aesthetic and vibe were exactly as pictured — natural, tropical, and peaceful. It had that laid-back, island charm that made it easy to relax and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. The design felt authentic and warm, not overly commercialized, which I appreciated. Even though the hotel didn’t offer many activities or extras for the price, I still found the overall atmosphere to be worth the experience. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable — perfect for unwinding and getting some rest. Yes, there were some areas for improvement (especially with the breakfast), but the peaceful environment and the authentic Zanzibar aesthetic made it feel like a true getaway. Would I come back? Absolutely. Title: Aesthetic Was Great, But Overall Value Didn’t Match the Price While the hotel looks exactly how it’s presented in photos — beautiful and relaxing — the overall value didn’t quite live up to the price point. The aesthetic was on point, and the ambiance was definitely what I was looking for, but beyond that, the experience felt a bit underwhelming. The breakfast was very subpar — not much variety, and the quality didn’t reflect the cost of the stay. There also weren’t many amenities or added comforts offered by the hotel. For the rate they charge, I expected more in terms of service, options, and overall hospitality. If you’re just looking for a calm and beautiful place to rest, it delivers on that front. But if you’re expecting premium service, thoughtful extras, or a more complete resort-like experience, you may be disappointed.
