Il Geonardo della Zisa

The location was good as only about 10 mins walk to the main areas of Palermo and in a quite neighbourhood so able to get good sleep away from the main areas of Palermo city! Nothing could have been better for our stay!

The room was very comfortable with big bathroom. The host was super helpful and very nice. If I go back to Palermo I would again take this room just to have a super host? You need to walk some 10-15 mins before you reach the center. And the neighborhood is not the cleanest but overall Palermo is not very clean as well…

The host and stuff were really great and I got great advice for restaurants and additional ideas and inspirations! I would definitely recommend the accomodation and would always stay again! Also very clean and the interior was in great condition!

Very sweet staff, clean room and good service

The owners were pleasant and the room was quite spacious. Breakfast was for us quite small, there were not a lot of options to choose from.

We had the double room with balcony. The room was a great size with a huge comfortable bed. It was very immaculately clean. The bathroom was huge with a good shower. Complementary shower gel and hand wash provided along with towels. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. Croissants, toast, cereal, yoghurt, juice and coffee all with a personal touch provided between 8-10am by the owners. Michele was a tremendous host who provided many recommendations of places to visit and getting around during our stay. The area was residential with some shops/supermarkets in the adjoining street which was useful. The location was around 15-20 mins away from the historic centre. Ordinarily this wouldn’t be an issue for us and perhaps the blistering August heat didn’t help but we found the location just a little far out. More so as there was little entertainment around the B&B. There was one small cafe which seemed to close early and a pizza/burger restaurant round the corner - 19.71 which was fab. Beyond that there was nowhere to go after a long day sightseeing so once you got back, you wouldn’t go back out again. Despite that the area felt very safe. The apartment is up two flights of stairs, not a huge issue for us but possibly more so for those less mobile. All things said we still loved our stay.

Michele is a very friendly and helpful host. He always tries to give informations and to solve problems. We understood each other even if didn't have a translator. There is no elevator in the house so it can be difficult to carry two suitcases.

Very nice accomodation. Mr. Michele with his Mother were very nice. Always ready to help and recommend anything.

I would just say that it was a perfect place to stay! Amazing hosts really friendly. Would definitely stay again!! Very clean and spacious. Great value for money!

Michele was very very kind for us. The time of check-in is agreed in advance and he came to the accomodation to let us in. He helped us with everything, we wanted to keep our rent car in safe for the night and he helped with it. He made us the coffee for morning and we ate here the most delicious croissant also, the tastes we discussed earlier. Ou room was nice, clean and well equipped.

The room is really nice, big and clean. The host communicates very frequently. There was smoking smell sometimes.

Michele was very kind and helpful. He came to the accomodation to let us in, on the map he marked the must have sights in the city. Before the breakfast we discuss what we want to eat. He made pistachio croissant and the next morning croissant with ham&cheese. He made us a coffee also.? It was nice of him to pay so much attention to the guests. Is we had any question, he was happy to help. It was a pleasure to meet him. -

Michelle is perfect host - nice and full of smile everyday! Each day the delicious breakfast was served personally by Michelle and his mother. We were also asked, what type of cornette we prefer to eat (Ricotta was the best of the bests!). The room was exactly the same as on photos, fully equipped and cleaned everyday. Michelle was also so cooperative and helped us to manage the rainy day in Palermo by sharing same examples of places which we can sightsee. In case of any questions - Michelle was responsive and always ready to answer.

This Bed and Breakfast was just what I needed after a day and a night on the GNV ferry from Genova. The ferry arrived in Palermo later than previewed, so the host Michele came and picked me up at the dock, I am so very grateful. The rooms in Il Genoardo della Zisa are spacious, and so is the bathroom, furnished with a bidet, excellent waterpressure and soaps. The bed was huge, I slept like a baby, and I woke up to a delicious pistachio croissant and a caffe latte. As previous reviewers have pointed out, Michele will go out of his way to make you feel at ease and at home. In short, a great Bed & Breakfast, and I would absolutely stay here again.

Owner was super friendly. Despite the language barrier, he was helpful and kind. Breakfast was good. A little further from the center, but the bus goes here.
