Ai Tre Mercati

The hotel's location was wonderful and the staff were lovely. Service was wonderful. We didn't really have natural light in the room, as the window looked out to an alley and had scaffolding. It was noisy too. The other rooms seemed nicer.

The location is excellent, very central and within walking distance of all the main sights. Although the street is lively during the day, it is calm during the night. Breakfast is a lovely touch and very tasty. Alberto is a fantastic and extremely helpful host – he provided very detailed and useful recommendations for sights, restaurants, and more. We also highly recommend visiting his other business, Belli Freschi Gelati e Granite, for some of the best ice cream we’ve ever tried. The soundproofing between the units and the common area is not very good, so noise can depend on the neighbours – you might hear them, or they might hear you.

Location in the historic centre near train and bus station. Friendly host. Location is so central that noise may be an issue for some people. It did not bother us.

Alfonso organised for taxi to pick up from airport it was super as we arrived late at night. The next morning we had to leave early before breakfast was served and Alfonso much to our surprise arrived to the train station with a full tray of pastries for us. What a fabulous surprise and they were delicious Charge for late arrival

The bed was very comfy. I couldn’t feel the other person’s movements. The room and bathroom, including the shower, were very spacious. The breakfast was good with yogurt, cereal and granola, fresh pastries and coffee/tea. The owner was very helpful with information and advice. Also very accessible. There was a small amount of street noise, even with the soundproofing, but to be expected right on Via Maqueda. Four keys are required to come and go… not a huge issue. There is a very small elevator, but not really necessary as the BnB is only one floor up.

The host was very accommodating and served a nice breakfast. The elevator was a nice bonus. Limited on supplies like soap.

Excellent location, right in city center, easy access to major attractions. The building do has a small lift to the floor of air B&B in case you have large suitcases. The host is nice and courtesy but find is less friendly. ai Tre Mercati is not a hotel, it is an air B&B or a guesthouse run by a HOST, is located in an old historical building not too well kept, the area is quite ethic with a lot shops or eatery. There are 3 sets of keys before you can enter your room which we have hard time to open their doors.There is no daily room cleaning and you need to request change of towels daily if needed.

Location was good. Various locks for doors felt like good security. The breakfast left for us (early departure) was over the top amazing Pasticceria pastries! Hot water was not working in PM. The room was big, but the bed had seen better days. Very small and aged bathroom - towels were aged.

The room was very spacious and great for the value. The breakfast was tasty, and the host was very friendly. The location was awesome for exploring Palermo. If you can, visit the host’s gelato shop as the gelato was amazing! It was a little hard to find. The only sign is a small label by the door. Once we found it, we knew where to go. It was just confusing at first.

Great location close to several shops and central sightseeing spots; hospitable host and great breakfast. The outside of the B&B seems sketchy at first but once you settle in you realize it’s pretty safe and conveniently located to several central locations.

Great location near restaurants and nightlife and the Ballaro market, yet away from the noise. My host Alfonso was wonderful; he stayed late to help me check in when my plane was delayed causing me to arrive past the check-in hours. He also fed me very well, beautiful pastries and excellent breakfast. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Nothing

The location was awesome, close enough to the action but still quite! Alfonso was super nice! He helped us with hiring a car from the airport to his place , which was so convenient! Breakfast was delicious! Not a dislike, just a comment … We paid an extra $25 for late check in (9:15 pm) and our room was not ready when we arrived.

Alfonso was a great host overall. He provided us with information on what to do and see around the city. He was just a phone call away anytime we had a question. The room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom and shower. Everything was great!
