Cristal Hotel Palermo

Bon hôtel généralement, en rénovation( ancien ibis ) travaux durant la journée et nuisances sonores. Le staff est réactif et souriant. La chambre est propre et confortable. La location est parfaite. Odeurs de nourriture dans le hall qui peut être désagréable par moment. Grande déception au niveau du petit déjeuner, ce petit déjeuner n’est pas de qualité et très peu de choix. Il n’est pas digne d’un petit déjeuner d’hôtel 4 étoiles.

We stayed here for two nights and were given a room on the 8th floor. The room had been freshly(not fully) renovated and had a modern look, similar to Ibis hotels. The air conditioning worked very well and was a lifesaver during the hot nights. The breakfast was average but perfectly acceptable. The location is excellent, and both the room and the bathroom were clean. The biggest downside was the noise. The hotel was undergoing major renovations during our stay, with drilling and construction work happening throughout the day. Even worse, the room doors had not yet been properly finished, and there were openings in the walls. Because of this, every sound from the hallway echoed into the room. In the evening, whenever someone walked by or made even a small noise, it sounded as if they were inside our room. If a hotel decides to rent out rooms while an entire floor is still under construction, they should at least close off that floor and walls until the renovation is completed.

The shower in the bathroom oddly had no door on it which made showering odd and the bathroom had no ventilation fan so it would get and stay steamy after a hot shower. Also was a bit loud some nights, bring earplugs.

The service, location and facilities were great. Giulia at the reception was very friendly and communication was always excellent. Would definitely stay here again N/a

That said, the room felt quite outdated and could benefit from renovations. I also noticed a small amount of mold in the bathroom, which took away from the overall experience. I did not have breakfast at the hotel, so I can't comment on the dining. If you're looking for a convenient location at a reasonable price, this hotel is a good option, but those seeking more modern accommodations may want to keep the room condition in mind.

Our room was upgraded, so it was really nice surprise. The room was clean, breakfast was enjoyable for us (not only sweet opinions were available). Location is convenient to walk around the main sights.

We loved our stay.cleaning staff are amazing, managers and front desk helped us (as always) it’s our go to hotel since 2021 and we kept staying here. Our room is perfect. We would love to come back again soon.

Make a reception counter instead of staff sitting at the desk. This does not look like a traditional hotel.

Little noise about construction work

This is a top hotel in a top location. Could not be better. A few steps from the best part of Palermo. Absolutely loved it. Also, there was a fantastic perfect sized desk in the room with a super comfortable chair and snappy wifi so getting work done was not only a breeze but a pleasure. My understanding is that the hotel has recently been taken over from Ibis. There are a 3 things that I would do that would seriously take this place from a 9/10 to a 10/10 - these are: 1. Bedding - there is no substitute for a comfortable bed. The mattress felt cheap and it was. It made a noice when you sat on it and a little uncomfortable to sleep on. Invest in good quality beds and the investment will pay for it's self in no time...think The Westin's Heavenly Bed 2. Pillow's - there is no substitute for good pillows. Flat lifeless pillows are well, flat and lifeless. 3. Water - 2 x 45c bottles on arrival and that's it!?!? Add €1 to the bill and give me two little bottles every day. Anyone looking should stay here - great place! LOVED IT! These are just some comments to go up a notch because I would in a heartbeat stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently located downtown. The train station is a bit far, but still on a walking distance. The price deal was very good for a 4-star hotel and the comfort provided. The breakfast does not meet the standards of a 4-star hotel (no fried eggs, no fish, no quality honey, etc). The street outside is noisy, so it is necessary to have the windows closed for sleeping.

Breakfast was enjoyable, featuring a variety of Sicilian pound cakes. My room had a lovely view and was bright and warm. The elevator is small and fits only 1–2 people. The closet could use an update.

The bed was not that comfortable, it was like laying in a big dent.

Clean, good breasfast. Closed to everything. Very nice room. Excellent dinner. You try to contact then, but never answer.

Location Helpful staff

The help, maid service and the girls that served the cheap buffet breakfast were hard workers! Some of the desk people were sometimes helpful! The hotel is very OVERPRICED and OvERRATED! The toilet seat was brown on the edge from over abuse! Terrible breakfast! VERY OVERPRICED! Im 122 lbs and 5’1”. How does a man fit into the shower when my arms kept opening the old overused screeching metal doors on the shower? I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! Very overpriced and overrated! Im very disappointed in Booking.com. I would like my money back!
