The Cactai

Quiet and peaceful. Room was spacious. The shower and showerheads were not cleaned and had dirt inside them, and the soap smelled like major MOLD.

Pleased with location and also the check in/out process worked real well. We only needed 1 night. The only complaint is the pool is small and there were a group of many young adults that stayed in the whole day we were there and were drinking quite a bit. We never got to use pool. The next morning there were beer cans all over the place. This is the only problem I can see about facility being staffless.

My favorite spot to stay in Palm Springs! Love the hot tub. Dog friendly and cute colors.

We celebrated our dog’s 10th birthday and had a lovely one night stay at The Cactai! The room was spacious and comfortable. Check in and out was smooth. Monty was super helpful and responsive. Will be staying here the next time we return to Palm Springs!

Parking and facility was clean

Loved my stay. Was a windy chilly night but, the pool was heated and the jacuzzi was nice and hot. The room was clean, fancy new toilets, mini kitchen with dish ware and cutlery, a coffee maker with good coffee and name brand creamer, the bed was plush and the bedding was nice. Perfect location away from traffic. Will be coming back.

A top notch choice for the smart traveler. Small, 11 room property with no office on site. Check in with codes emailed. The grounds are spotless and very well maintained. All the rooms are very spacious. All the guests we encountered were friendly. There were 4 dogs on property, including mine and it was all so friendly. We can't wait to return again. And again.

This was one of the cutest hotels we've stayed at. The room had everything we needed, excellent fridge, AC worked great, decorated beautifully. The pool area was great, tons of lounge chairs and towels. Would definitely go back

Where to start with this fantastic place? Top-notch boutique hotel near downtown Palm Springs. The room was incredible, and communication with management was excellent. The cleaning crew and Mr. Maintenance (I forgot his name) were always very attentive. Five stars all around; we will stay here again and again.

The Cactai is excellently maintained with comfortable beds and a beautiful swimming pool area complete with nice lounging and a hot tub. It has modern decor and high tech features including a bidet with great setting choices. There is no front desk. Once you register yourself as a guest you are sent a code for the front gate and your room and you're all set. We would stay again when in Palm Springs.

Clean room and quiet area

Although the property was largely contactless, the staff was still friendly and attentive. Monty, the concierge, was so kind as to upgrade us as we were celebrating so we ended up staying at one of the suites which was so spacious and beautifully decorated. We loved the comfortable bed, powerful AC that worked great against the desert heat and the private patio, which made taking our dog out very convenient. The pool and hot tub were lovely to lounge around and have a dip in and we really appreciated that we did not have to leave our dog behind or forgo the amenities because we had him. The whole property was very quiet, although we were also there in the middle of the week. The hotel was conveniently located just a quick drive or walk to downtown and there are also some stores located close by; however, we did unfortunately realize that the building down the street was a methadone clinic and we did have kind of a scary encounter with some tweakers who emerged from the trash room behind the property while walking around. We ended up just driving everywhere after that but parking on site is free and convenient. It also did make us appreciate how secure the premises were with the individual access codes.

The pool was lovely and well kept. The room was very clean but the bathroom had a co anteater leak on the floor which wasn’t problem but had to be mopped up regularly. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. The kitchen supplies were ok but it needed a few more glasses and a small toaster. All in all very nice place.

Would have rated it 5 stars but there isn’t any comfortable furniture. Mid century sofa/loveseat was like sitting on a board.

The hotel is fabulous with a great history. The room was spotless, the amenities were amazing and the toto toilet was an absolute treat. The courtyard area is beautiful with a lovely, heated pool, relaxing spa and great lounge chairs with plenty of towels. We loved having a little patio off of our room. The neighborhood and location are the best. We will be back!

We loved our room. It was very comfortable, clean and modern. The location of the hotel was also ideal and quiet. The quality of the bed was excellent. My husband now wants to get a new mattress just like the one we slept on at the Cactai. We'll definitely stay here again.
