The Cole

We’ve stayed here twice already and just about everything has always been just wonderful. However, this time (our third) the pool and jacuzzi had signs on them from the health inspector saying they were closed due to lack of a permit. (Neither the pool nor jacuzzi were at all dirty or unkempt.) It was just extremely odd that, during the three days we were there (or even when we booked the stay), were we told anything about them being closed for the week. After we left, I texted the staff to ask for an explanation, but so far (almost a full day since we checked out), I have received NO RESPONSE whatsoever! Very baffling….A particular high point of our visit has always been Freddie’s, the restaurant on property. It’s just lovely and Frederic, the owner/chef as well as his staff waiter, have always been very hands-on and interact directly with the guests/diners to create a truly lovely dining experience. We look forward to eating there every time we go, and wish it was open for breakfast and/or lunch, as well as dinner.

It was ok, I was disappointed that it didn’t have microwave. No check in desk. Everything is on line & by phone, they charge parking. You can park in the street for free. It’s safe.

We only stayed one night at the Cole but we really enjoyed the hotel. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious! We didnt have a chance to use the pool but it looked amazing, with lots of chairs and loungers to choose from.

Very clean and well kept . The common areas are simple yet tasteful and functional .the rooms are well appointed with some thoughtful touches which add the simple elegance Liked everything

Pool and bed were nice. It was pretty quiet. There was a weird smell in the room when I arrived and it was a bit late with no staff onsite, so not much I could do about it.

Nice stay. I’m a regular. Staff are excellent host and pleasant. Very reasonable priced. Clean and quiet. Near the simple part of town.

It’s quirky and retro, the pool was nice when it was clean and the bartender was great. Loved his dog blue, she’s very affectionate. Rooms were clean when we arrived but never cleaned during our stay, even though we explicitly asked the staff if they could clean the rooms which they said they would but didn’t do. Pool was also pretty gross one of the days. Another guest checking in cancelled her booking right there because of the conditions. Haven’t seen that happen before.

Great place to stay! Rooms are nice and clean! Bed was super comfy! Overall, I really enjoyed my stay!
