Avenir Hotel Montmartre

The hotel’s location is excellent. There is good access to the metro, and some sights and attractions are easily reachable on foot. We were given a room with a terrace and a beautiful view of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. The hotel was also very clean and well-maintained, has an elevator. The staff was very kind and helpful, and our overall stay was very pleasant. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back again in the future. Some of the towels had a slightly unusual smell.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, he stored our food in a fridge because the room didn’t come with a fridge. The room wasn’t too loud considering it’s on a busy street. Shower pressure was excellent. Parts of the neighborhood (particularly around metro station Barbès-Rochechoart with a lot of illegal cigarette vendors) don’t feel safe in the evening or night. At times there are drunks on benches near enough to the hotel (maybe 200m down the road)

This is not a fancy hotel, but the staff make your stay very pleasant. They are very helpful and kind. Rooms rather small.

Excellent location, kind staff. My wife and I had a lovely evening together in the peaceful and beautiful Montmartre location. 10/10 excellent. Thank you for everything. I would have liked for the air conditioning to get a bit colder. Same with the refrigerator. Coffee in the room would be a nice plus. Everything else was great.

The room had everything we needed, was relatively spacious and the beds were comfortable. The location was great. The wifi could have been stronger.

Great location and my room had a beautiful view. The bed was very comfortable and everything was as expected from the description. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout my stay. I cannot really think of anything to improve.

Location was convenient Price is a bit on the high side

The location is perfect, right next to the Sacre Couer, and in Montmartre; and yet also quiet. The rooms were spacious (we were a family of 4), clean, quiet with good air-conditioning (which in the Paris summer heat was vital - and you can set your own temperature in each room). Breakfast was very good - definitely worthwhile getting up for. Staff were exceptionally helpful; and we could leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out until we needed to head to the Eurostar (only around 30 minutes walk or so with luggage). Nothing - great place.

Comfortable bed, A/C, bathroom, shower. Good location. No telephone to call the staff, The elevator went out of service once.

Eva and her husband were lovely!!! Great location in a busier area of Paris. Lovely, small, local hotel. Hotel is dated and needs some updates. Very basic, but was great for needing a place for 1 night layover in Paris.

Passable

This was our second stay in the Avenir, so we knew what to expect, and we were not disappointed! We recognised most of the staff from last year, and they were just as friendly, helpful and welcoming as we remembered. A slight problem with the lift caused by the heatwave was quickly rectified, and we were able to enjoy our 6th-floor room with the outstanding view of Sacré Coeur. Nothing really!

The hotel is very close to Gare du Nord so perfect if you travel by train. Also right on the metro (just a few steps). I had a surprise to be in a room with a very beautiful view :-) The bed was really comfortable and the room size was good. All the staff I spoke to very very friendly and helpful. I don't think there was anything that could be changed. Due to the hotel being so central it's not a quiet area (main road) but anyone who books here will know this in advance as you can see it on the map!
