I’ve never regretted a booking more. This was the worst treatment I’ve ever received. They should stop advertising private rooms as privacy implies governance over whether anyone enters the room while you’re staying there. Which was not provided. I booked a private room here for my last day in Paris, with the assumption that I was able to use the room I paid for. Upon checking in I clearly misunderstood when the woman at the front desk said “this doesn’t apply to you” with regards to the cleaning rule requiring you to leave between 11-3. The only place I’ve stayed out of 50+ places that enforces a rule like this. Booking a private room implies privacy - I didn’t want my room cleaned in the first place for a 2 night stay. This misunderstanding resulted in me being abrasively kicked out mid shower, not given the opportunity to gather my belongings and having my entire day a complete disaster as I was missing much of what I needed. She couldn’t even give me the decency of 10 minutes despite having 6 rooms to clean on the floor I was on. I genuinely feel violated after having being subjected to plead with the cleaning staff for some time while naked, asking for it to not be cleaned, just to have the same woman that was exceptionally rude and callous, to then be provided uninterrupted access to my room for several hours with all of my belongings. It’s cheap yes, but the check in process was extremely inefficient as they check everyone in at 3pm (took 40 minutes) and the rules they insist on enforcing are clearly a point of contention to their staff which just shows how ridiculous it is in the first place. Booking here was by far my biggest regret out of my 7 week trip across Europe.

nice rooms, shower inside them rather than sharing with others, it was clean and very safe. we felt comfortable and safe as 2 18 yr old girls travelling alone. there was luggage storage for before check in which was very useful too they lock you out the rooms from 11-3 which is a bit annoying but made us do some touristy activities. the only bathrooms were only the ground floor but other than that pretty goid

Passable

The location of the hostel is good, theoretically all the main attractions of Paris are in walking distance. The price is also reasonable. The bathroom is shared among all the guests on the same floor.

Staff was client oriented, location is good. Rooms on street were extremely noisy due to neighbouring restaurant and buzy street. Rooms were very hot and no AC or fan are made available.

Location is convenient, therefore noisy. Breakfast was basic, but more convenient than going out to buy something. Room was a decent size. We paid for a private bathroom, which was a little interesting but handy for cold showers to cool down. Beds were comfortable. The city was very hot when we visited and the rooms have no air conditioning. That impacted on ability to sleep. Open windows equals more noise. This was expected though. It was a bit odd to hand in the key whenever we left but we got used to it.

I needed to be walking distance from Gare de Lyon and was walking distance from Bastille Metro station. It was basic but clean. Would have been nice to have my own toilet as I get up at night but I knew that this was the case.

Beds were comfortable. Room had one chair (we were two people). Air conditioning didn't work it just blew hot air. Noisy from the street as we had to open the window. Breakfast was basic (and nothing gluten free)

The location was good. And the staff is really friendly and helpfull. It helps that there is a 24h reception. The room and the bathroom are not really separated by anything else but a curtain, which an be a little uncomfortable. And the breakfast didn't have many options. It was the same every morning you get a baguette some butter and marmalade with orange juice, coffee and something sweet.

Norhing. They didn’t have AC and it was 40 degrees celsius outside. It was noisy, the staff was very rude (looked like we were bothering). They wouldn’t allow us inside the bedroom between 11am and 3 pm for “cleaning reasons”. Everything was a mess. Breakfast was very poor.
