Hotel d'Angleterre Saint Germain des Prés

The location could not be more in the heart of the Saint German buzz. However, the hotel and room were very peaceful and quiet, with a wonderful courtyard for a breakfast.

Great location, delicious breakfast and lovely patio. Elevator too small. Room was very hot every day night.

Such a beautiful hotel! The bed was very comfortable. You couldn’t ask for a better location. We walked everywhere. The staff are all so very kind and truly made our stay even better.

It was very run down and there is no AC

No elevator and no AC in the room. EXTREMELY dated.....unfortunately looks dirty because chabby. Did not honor the reservation request of 2 beds. Good location and nice staff. Very expensive for the offering which is none. Condition of hotel and lack of facilities

The location of this hotel is perfect! The staff go over and above to assist with everything to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable and easy.

Great location in the 6th. We walked to all the top sites. The hotel has a unique history and we felt like we were back in time. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast.

Everything was wonderful. I even came downstairs one evening to ask for water for my teabag and the concierge went and made me up a tray with teapot cup and saucer to bring back to my room. Lovely. Very comfortable stay, absolutely no complaints. Great location.

The location cannot be beat, being in walking distance of cafes, restaurants, movie theaters, the Vedettes de Pont Neuf, the Jardin de Luxembourg and the Tuileries, not to mention the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay. Most of all we appreciated the manager's attention to customer service. We complained a couple of times about the wifi being very weak in our room (Room 7). Within a day, the manager had a dedicated network installed for just our room. It was strong and we had uninterrupted service for the remainder of our stay. Breakfast was very heavy on bread and very scant on fresh fruit. There were dried apricots, prunes, and nuts, but almost no fresh fruit. The breakfast room is crowded, with the backs of chairs almost touching the backs of chairs at adjacent tables, making it difficult to get in and out of one's seat without jostling one's neighbor. They could remove a few tables and make the experience more pleasant for everyone. The coffee was excellent, however.

The breakfast was outstanding! Loved the croissants. Coffee was excellent. Plenty of options.

Wonderful breakfast and staff was very attentive. We had a broken shower for 3 days but was fixed as soon as a part was located. We really enjoyed the property and the staff. Will stay again.

The location was perfect for walking to all major attractions. Perfect for dinner cafes. It was quaint and decorated with charm and elegance. Staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. Our luggage was brought to the room and back down when we left!

Very charming, comfortable suite #51. Stairs were a little challenging for an older couple, but well worth the climb!!! ☺️

The breakfast was very nice and the staff were lovely. Most of the problem resides in the advertising on booking.com that showed the comfort room to be much nicer than it actually was. I needed a ground floor room due to health issues also and thought that's what I had reserved through booking.com but my room was on the fourth floor. If I was able to spend on a more expensive room downstairs, I would have enjoyed the room much more. The photos and description provided for the comfort room on booking.com were misleading and didn't match what I received when we arrived. I would recommend the location for proximity to the Louvre and some excellent restaurants nearby. And, I am thankful to the staff for being kind.

Breakfast was great, the reception desk very helpful and the location was great. The room overlooking rue jacob was noisy especially early in the morning. Fırthermore, since the window could not be opened, the room was very stuffy.
