Named after the 18th-century mathematician, Hôtel Sophie Germain is a 1 minute walk from Mouton-Duvernet metro station. It offers free newspapers and contemporary rooms with free Wi-Fi access. Clean, working AC, good location near 6 line Very simple breakfast for its price. Small bathroom.

The highlight of the hotel was the location. Very nice safe neighborhood close to the train station. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The staff was fine. Paris was incredibly hot this week and although the hotel does advertise they have air conditioning it really cannot be considered AC, really just a fan. I know it will not be US air con but, I have stayed in Paris and in France several times in similar conditions and never had a room with as bad of AC. To make this worse there was construction being done to the facade of the building so there was scaffolding up in front making it impossible to open the windows. The room was a normal Paris size, but the bathroom was one of the smallest I have seen. For the price I would expect better.

Although the room was very small, it had a small fridge, coffee, tea, kettle, and a hair dryer. Every day we would come back in the evening to a nicely cleaned-up room. Location was very good, about 5 minutes walk to a couple of metro/train stations. Rooms are very small, but this is typical in Paris for small hotels. Construction happening at the hotel, we were not aware of, we could not see anything through the windows.

The room could've done with a bit of a facelift. There were tiles missing and loose in the shower which wasn't ideal, although the shower itself was fine. The room had no artwork decorating so felt rather cold, alongside the fact it definitely needs repainting due to scuffs and chips on the wall. There was no main light in the room so it felt quite dark as well. The coffee machine in the room is a nice touch, but needed descaling so I couldn't get it to work. Prior to checkin, there was an online form where we could request certain amenities; however, none of these were present in the room (e.g. slippers, razor) which was fine, but the expectation was there since we were offered them!

Great check-in and out experience. We dropped our bags early and they were waiting in our room for us when we checking in. Need updated pricing on taxi fares to airport. Better off using the G7 Taxi app than having them call for you as the pricing is more transparent.

Good location, near the metro and cute restaurants/bars/stores. The lobby was cute. The view from the room was cute. They offer a breakfast for 13 euro. The room was tiny, the restroom even tinier. The heat didn’t work, it was chilly in the room and I ended up getting cold. The reception person on the first day of my stay was kind of sassy and made ironic comments, I didn’t like it.

The staff were so friendly and nice. They were so attentive and responsive. The room was cleaned every day. The location was great with regard to access to metro and tourist attractions. The neighborhood was also so calm and quiet, providing a great night sleep. The breakfast was good too.

The room was quite small at first (as is common in Paris), but after mentioning it, we were kindly upgraded to a slightly larger one at no extra cost.

Great location between several metro stations with lots of walkable restaurants. Pretty small elevator.

Great location close to Metro and RER. Neighbourhood has many good and shopping options. Boulangerie across the street has the best baked goods.

Worst hotel experience ever! ❌❌❌ The WiFi didn’t work at all, and our room was in the basement, where it smelled horribly musty even after airing it out. The door was extremely difficult to open, and the room was located right next to the dining area, so we were woken up at 7 AM by noisy guests heading to breakfast. The worst part was the staff – completely unhelpful! When we asked to change rooms, they literally laughed in our faces. The room door was made of glass and positioned in a way that anyone walking to the dining area could see inside – zero privacy! Never again. Definitely do not recommend! ?
