Best Western Plus Opera Batignolles

The director was friendly and tried making me feel better after the initial experience. Our stay at Best Western Plus Opéra Batignolles was extremely disappointing, particularly because of the way our family was treated by the hotel staff. We are a family of two adults and three children. I initially booked and prepaid for two rooms and specifically requested an extra bed for my 10-year-old child in one of the rooms. I received a response confirming that my request would be accommodated at no additional cost. However, upon arrival, I was told that the response I had received referred only to late check-in and that a separate response had supposedly been sent informing me that the extra bed could not be provided. This was extremely frustrating and, in my view, an unreasonable way to handle the situation, particularly as I had already prepaid for the two rooms and had no reason to expect a discussion about being charged for late check-in. What made matters worse was the attitude of the receptionist, who was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. I was told that I had to pay for a third room for my child or the hotel would not allow my child to stay with us. With no reasonable alternative presented to me after travelling to the hotel with my family, I felt effectively forced to pay for the additional room. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. The air-conditioning in the third room stopped working after the first night. Instead of properly resolving the issue, the hotel provided a fan, which my child had to use for the remainder of our four-night stay. Overall, this was a very poor experience. The issue was not simply the additional cost, but the way the situation was handled, the unfriendly treatment we received at reception, and the failure to provide a properly functioning room after charging us for it. I expected much better communication, customer service and basic accommodation standards from a Best Western Plus hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to families, particularly those travelling with children, based on our experience

Vårt rum var rent och fräscht. Personalen var jättetrevlig och tillmötesgående. I lobbyn bjöds det på svalkande kallt vatten (smaksatt, stilla och kolsyrat) från kran, vilket verkligen uppskattades i värmeböljan Rummet var väldigt litet och saknade krokar att hänga upp handdukar och dylikt på. Hotellet ligger vid en stor och vältrafikerad väg, och även om vårt rum låg mot baksidan stängde fönstren inte ute trafikbullret.

The hotel had an exceptional breakfast, a pleasant atmosphere, and a wonderful staff. The suite was comfortable with an elegant bathroom and all the right amenities. Its central location was a bonus, along with its proximity to markets and restaurants. N/A

The staff spoke very proficient English and were polite throughout all interactions, which was a surprise for Paris. The room was very comfortable and quiet despite its location next to a massive rail corridor and busy street due to the quadruple glazing. The staff made a fair effort to correct deficiencies in the booking process and the final product which, to be fair, was mostly due to booking.com being a subpar website. This booking was made at last minute due to a previous booking.com booking being in an unacceptable state. My main concern is with booking.com as a platform, it did not accurately represent what the hotel was providing. Under the configuration of the room, booking.com listed the larger room as a king single and queen bed, however the room was configured with one bed, a king. Not a big deal, but not what was expected.

Decent location. Bed was comfortable (would be better if it was clean) Lack of cleanliness. Room was not ready until an hour after the advertised check-in time. Bedding was dirty, with hairs in the bed and chewed gum left on the bedside table. We had to change the bed linen ourselves at 1am after reception said there was nothing they could do. Staff showed no apology or concern, and the manager failed to contact us despite being asked. After following up again nearly two days later, the only resolution offered was complimentary breakfast.

Hotel location is very good, near a metro station. Housekeeping forgot to give bathtowel.
