Hotel Le Malown

The location was excellent. The hotel felt clean. Breakfast was much smaller than expected, it didn’t really feel worth the money. There were some issues with air conditioning: when arriving I wasn’t able to control it from the room and asked the staff to turn it on. They turned it on but then the room was freezing so I asked to turn it up a bit but instead the room became even colder. In the last morning I noticed I was suddenly able to control the air conditioning by myself from the room but didn’t really understood why this wasn’t an option from the start. Room was smaller than expected and even though it was fine, the photos of the rooms didn’t really meet the reality. In my booking I also payed the city fee but had to pay it again when arriving.

Cozy little hotel with an amazing location to all the major sightseeings - highly recommend especially is its your first time visiting Paris. Clean rooms, A/C was a big plus given we were there during the heat wave. All in all great value for money! Staff were all very friendly Breakfast was ok’ish, but very small selection, only few cheeses and boiled eggs, some bread , cereal…

Excellent location and our end of hallway, corner room was completely quiet (except for a small hum due to the air-circulation). Both staff members, one at check-in and the other at check-out, were extremely helpful and considerate. It’s a quiet, family-run hotel with character and located in one of the best, and safest, arrondissements in Paris. Everything was perfect and good value , as well.

We recently stayed at Le Malown and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. We booked two rooms for four people, but by the end of our stay we discovered that one of the rooms had not been cleaned even once, while the other room was serviced daily. The towels were not changed, the beds were never made, rubbish was not removed, and the rooms were not vacuumed throughout our stay. We also noticed that the two rooms were not equal in size or facilities - one was noticeably larger and better equipped than the other, despite both being booked as the same type of room. Additionally, the air conditioning in one of the rooms was not working properly. The lowest temperature we could get was 27°C, which made the room very uncomfortable. Since the phone in the room was not working, we had to go to reception every time we needed assistance. Overall, the lack of housekeeping, the difference between the rooms, and the unresolved air conditioning issue significantly affected our stay. We expected a much higher standard of service and attention to detail.
