We had a lovely stay at Hôtel Pavillon Bastille. The location is excellent right by Place de la Bastille, with easy access to the Metro and within walking distance of many great areas, cafés and restaurants. The room was comfortable and pleasant, and despite the central location, the hotel felt calm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Location and very helpful reception staff

The location was very convenient and close to the metro station. The hotel was well maintained. The female receptionist I met the next day was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. When I checked out early in the morning on 14 August the reception staff member was also very kind and helpful. I checked in on 12 August around 22:00. Unfortunately, the reception staff member was not welcoming. As soon as I arrived he brought the card machine and asked for payment without explaining what it was for. I told him I had already paid for my stay and only then did he say it was for the city tax. When I asked how much it was and for clarification he responded quite rudely. After that he did not explain or show me where the elevator or stairs were to reach my room and I had to ask several times. The late-night check-in experience could have been much more welcoming and professional.

Great location and very helpful Reception staff. Nothing really except the very old fashioned hairdryers!

Great value. Basic, but comfortable, nothing extra, just what one needs on a trip busy with sightseeing. AC worked very well. Breakfast is very simple and limited, but cannot complain for the price, it served its purpose. Cleaning was done daily and properly. Bed was good and comfortable. The receptionists were very polite. It’s an old hotel, but it doesn’t smell at all, which was good. I spent 3 nights comfortably there during the hot summer. No complaints. The last night I noticed that the water faucet in the bathroom (room 32) was leaking. I guess things like that can happen anywhere.

You can’t find a better place to be in Bastille area and NOT to be amidst all the noisy clubs and bars in Bastille area They say the Parisians don’t breakfast, so the breakfast here is an abomination: some pastries, jam and 2 kinds of cheese

The location felt safe. I did not like getting put in a different hotel than what we booked

The garden in front The decoration was old

convenience. frendly. Lift is super petit. :) The cleaning needs to be thorough; there are some items left behind by previous guests.

The location and the friendly staff The building and the terrasse is good too. Finally the breakfast is good. My room had no aircon that worked, which didn’t preoccupied the staff at all at first. Then I got a ventilator. The fridge was also out of order. I was allowed to use the fridge at the reception. Never was I proposed another room. No other gesture was made by the hotel, even though it was 35 degrees celcius at that time in Paris…
